The left handed version is the SLX151 **Q: What is the ideal lure to throw on these reels?** A: That's a pretty tough question to answer, but I'll do my best as a bass fisherman. First let's look at distance. Ideally you want a lure that doesn't catch the wind and is relatively heavy. Something over .5oz, but under 1.2oz should be ideal. It should be aerodynamic and compact in size. My ideal lure for distance is a floating 3/4oz top water frog. They're small, heavy and travel really well even with minor wind. Comparing that to a 6" zoom fluke with a weighted hook (weighing 3/4oz total), the soft tail of the fluke catches the wind and hinders distance. As you begin to use the larger the baits, especially with multiple treble hooks or skirts, you notice the distance drop. While not ideal for distance, I regularly fish a soft frog and fluke, just really can't catch anything with top water frog most of the year. If you are looking for max distance stay away from rigs with sliding weights. I can throw a Texas rig a really far, but not as far as an identically weighted hook using the same fluke/worm. As the soft bait catches the air the sliding weight tugs it along which acts like a brake in the air. If a nice cast sends a Texas rig 75ft, a similar cast will send a weighted hook at least 10ft further. Fishing is not only about really long casts, accurate casts around cover tend to land me more fish than launching it way out there. Next let's look at flipping and pitching. I think the ideal lure here is just about anything that's between 1/2oz and 3/4oz. Wind resistance doesn't matter in this case, so jigs with skirts, ploppers, swim bait with treble hooks, pretty much anything of the right weight. I really like to pitch jigs, their a nice balance of weight and action for bass. Hope this was helpful! It's a fantastic reel that will work really well with almost all lures. I wouldn't really recommend trying to find an ideal lure though, you're probably better off practicing with at least 3 different types of lures so you can deal with the ever changing conditions of fishing. Tight lines, my friend! **Q: How many ball barrings are their** A: 3+1 Bearings : 3 normal reeling, 1 pulling on drag all that you need. It's quality over quantity in that you can get cheap reels with 18 bearings. 11-12 lb drag I hate to bust any bubbles, but the number of ball bearings is just a sales gimmick. Many of the reels with all the extra ball bearing just put them in the handles and other places where they do not really help the function of the reel. The spool only needs two ball bearings on it, one on each side. Some spools have three ball bearings because one extra is added out board where the spool tension nut is located.
