Those two items are pretty easy to clean and I figure it gives me the best chance of avoiding harmful growth of pathogens. Any tricks?** A: Might want to try soaking and washing the mask completely, then shaking off all the water possible, then assembling the headgear, then attaching the assembled mask to one end of the CPAP machine's hose, then attaching the other end of that hose to the Hurricane air-output tube,. Set the dry time to max, and let it run. Thus, you let the Hurricane run air all the way through your tubing and through your mask just as it does when attached to the CPAP machine. Everything dries beautifully and it appears, to me, to be the best way to get to every nook and cranny. If you simply cannot stand the idea of drying your gear assembled, I'd position those nasal pillows pointing straight downward, so you have the best possibility of gravity helping you out.
