25 freshly cut wood slices. These slices are fresh, green wood and will still be damp but dry out quick.They can be be used for any kind of wood crafts, candle holders, coasters, decorations, weddings, Christmas ornaments, or any other neat idea that you can come up with! All these slices are from sourwood trees and are perfect!!! The bark is completely intact all the way around and is very pronounced and unique each slice and they are gorgeous! Each slice is about 3/16" thick. The diameter of each is between 3-4". These are all natural raw wood. Sourwood is one of the most desired woods of all. Each tree is from the BEAUTIFUL SMOKEY MOUNTAINS. I can make special orders as well just contact me! This is a stock picture so you may not receive these exact slices but they will be the same wood. Thank you for your views! ***When you receive the slices, stack them up in stacks and place some kind of weight on the stacks or spread them all out and place a weight on each one. Keep it like this for 2-3 days.This will prevent bowing/ cracking.

I was very pleased with the wood disks
Initially, I was very pleased with the wood disks. They arrived intact and all a little damp, so I set them out to dry naturally. However, the next day, I checked on them and the largest ones (the ones I actually wanted to use) had split! This made them TOTALLY UNUSABLE.These disks should arrive treated so this won't happen--or at least with instructions as to how to dry the wood without having them split (for DIY brides like myself who don't have extensive lumber-related experience).

Not the best cuts for coasters
Only one of the 25 even went over the 3" mark and that was by a mm... 2 came split.. these would be usable for maybe individual cupcake holders but for coasters they are too small and thin.. half of them also bowed a bit in the center so they do not lay flat all of the way.. in the photo I laid the largest wood slice I received over a 4inch wood coaster I got and stained from michaels craft store..
