PowRyte Medium Stroke Air Hammer with 4 Chisels

***18 month update***Been subjecting this tool to occasional varied use for 18 months. No problems at all. I am pretty nice to my tools but I think most negative reviews are mechanical or involve the trigger. I am still problem free. Lets see... I needed to knock out over 300 1/2-inch steel bushings from some parts for work; started out carefully placing them in the arbor press and it was just taking me forever... broke out Mr. air hammer here and finished the lot in no time. I also use it lefty with a descaler righty like the Wyatt Earp of cleaning clogged mowing decks. Thing is still a wonder for knocking out wheel hubs or axles, driving rusty pins, demolishing machines, breaking off bolt heads. Real Swiss army knife this thing. This is where I would tack on a star but I was already at 5. Will update review when I break it.***Original review follows***Can't go wrong at the price! This little dude blasted off my GM wheel hubs in a few seconds, a job which can take an hour or more of intense labor. Good cyclic rate and easy to handle. I did not have any of the problems mentioned by other reviewers.

***Update***Should have known better than to buy this but I've trusted their brand in the past. Problem is this chisel couldn't chisel its way out of a wet paper bag. Please read all reviews before purchasing. Though I do believe I got a crap deal on this specific tool, I know that they are not all like this.I'm a general contractor, and know first hand how easy it is to get caught up in the consumerism surrounding brands like dewalt an so on. I'm here to tell you first hand that the PowRyte brand IS a trusted and common name in all my trucks' toolboxes. Granted it's now a heavy duty model, it will perform well beyond your expectations as far as name comparison goes. As far as I'm concerned, I'll take this chisel/scaler over any other name brand any day; job specific of course

Bought this to remove old tile floor and it worked wonderfully. Every so often the front barrel would vibrate lose (not too surprising after several hours of continuous use) and the tool would sound like it was just leaking air when you pulled the trigger. I simply grabbed the front barrel and twisted it back tight and it started working again. This made the tile removal job a lot easier and I am very happy with this tool.

Very impressed with the apparent quality of this tool. I bought it to remove an outdoor faucet from my foundation. It was cemented in with a super hard cement. A hammer and chisel hardly dented it. This tool made short work of it. For such a reasonable price it was well worth it if I only used it once, but I see many other uses for it.

Would not run. 90psi, oiled but air blows through the trigger area and the trigger just flops around with no pressure. Should have known better than to trust a project timeline to this cheap tool.

It worked great for about the first 3 minutes, then the cheap plastic trigger broke off. The trigger was poorly designed and the material was not strong enough to depress the valve to open the airway for the tool to work. An aluminum or steel trigger probably would work fine.

Excellent tool. This tool is cheap and was delivered the next day for under $25. Took a wrist breaking project from several days to just a few hours! After 5 days demoing and old kitchen with brick and tiles, if it died tomorrow, I'd buy two. However, it's still going strong and I love it.

Awesome little tool. Used it so far to cut out majority of car body panels and it did it with no problem. Test will be when it comes to removing ball joints on my ford 6.0l diesel. But overall wonderful addition to my tool set at a rock bottom price.
