I tried to use the hooks on the ceiling with the sticky tape provided that said it would hold up to 30lbs. I cleaned the surface before placing the tape and let the hook set for 24 hours before hanging my glass orb from it. Within 20 minutes of hanging it, I had a broken orb shattered on the ground. My orb was at most three lbs so it should have been more than fine. Needless to say I’m disappointed for more reasons than one.

Damn useful -- I just wish that 2 of them hadn't 'walked off' over time.I blame the coworkers for that, because these little things do NOT move if you don't overload them -- and that's rather difficult unless you're hanging something on them that is quite dense.(If you need something stronger than these to hang something up, you probably already know that.)If you aren't sure whether or not they'll work on a given wall/ceiling, test it with a simple refrigerator magnet first -- magnetism doesn't really change all that much between a weak kitchen magnet and one of these particularly powerful ones. These ones just 'stick' much harder than the weaker ones do. So if the weaker ones work, these will too.

Arrived in a timely fashion and work great. I have magnetic boards and metal desks in the class, these are very functional for holding posters and are fun to demonstrate magnetism to the kiddos.

I Love these magnets! Second set I have bought and probably want be my last. I used them on my job to hang electrical drawing on panels while I wire. I found out on aluminum panels I can put one magnet on one side and another back to back and they we hold on aluminum. The strongest magnets for the price, will hold my radio also while I'm wiring.

I got these to hang a light wind chime i got from the Bahamas on my screened in lanai...put the hook up and waited a while, then hung the wind chime, not even an hour later the light wooden wind chime was on the ground 😔 (Tried more than once)...very unhappy

These do the job! They are strong enough to hold a wreath on my steel entry door. I used another to hang a small solar light on another door. Nothing has knocked them off yet. There are stronger magnets out there but for my household needs these work great. Nothing flimsy about them. They are easy to remove when needed.

The hook is good, the sticky pads are not. I used real command strips and they actually held. The hook is secure and works well for me.
