Good instrument, astonishing price point, excellent customer service
My Hadean u-bass was a delight to play right out of the box. Sounds Great! Like a standup bass disguised as a uke, fairly startling to all not expecting it :-) Intonation as good as Kala instruments. Beautiful blond wood (plywood, note this is only technically an acoustic instrument, it absolutely needs ampiification to be heard in a room). Not a 'luxury' instrument in the feel of the hardware - tuning pegs, onboard tuner, EQ/vol - but fully functional and the luxury is getting all of this at an astonishingly affordable price.A tip for those who try the Aquila thundergut strings which come with the instrument, and *love* the sound like I do, you can often get them at steep discount if you look around for direct web sales from china - which is a major plus because they need changing very frequently. Well, so do those black polyurethane strings, it's the price for having these awesome sounds in such a small and easy-to-play instrument; so absolutely not a criticism.Another tip is that I play using a musician practice glove (bass glove) to reduce pickup of squeaky string sound and decrease friction for slides so I don't remove the skin from my fingertips. The plastic strings feel slightly sticky when I start sweating and the usual powders and even grease are not as good as the glove. And when my on-board preamp died suddenly 11 months in, Rondo customer service mailed me a replacement kit with no hassle. Unscrewed a few things, clipped a cable tie, and switched it out --- back in business in time for holiday gigs.Recommended without reservation. I'm all about affordable good sound and this instrument delivers in bunches.

Cool Little Beast
This is a cool little beast. Well worth the price. The strings take a little getting used to (need to fret more to the center of the fret rather than close to the tail-side wire). Battery life might be questionable; hard to say since it had batteries in it and no way of knowing how long they've been in there. Intonation is good. Tuning takes a while to settle in. Sound is really nice. This can't really be played acoustically except for practicing alone. There's not enough projection to play with a group or anything like that without plugging in. Probably not the best electronics out there, but for the money this thing is awesome.

She is a pretty little thing
She is a pretty little thing, blonde wood with blonde strings. She is very easy to play. My hand strength was too weak for a traditional electric bass; this uke bass is perfect for me. I was glad to see there is a peg to which I can add a strap. She's not that optimal for acoustic playing, unless one plays in the upper strings. The low strings are too soft to hear with another player. But solo, the quietness is handy, and doesn't disturb anyone, and perfect in a campground in the morning in front of the fire. To play with others, I have only plugged her into a Pignose amp, which works just fine! I love the on-board digital tuner and always make sure I turn it off to save the battery. Overall, a great price for a sweet instrument!

Love this Electric Bass Ukulele
Love this Electric Bass Ukulele! I got a chance to try a used electric kala bass and I hear absolutely no difference in quality of sound! Plus it is gorgeous! I had an issue with it not working after having it for a couple of weeks so I contacted Rondo music. The problem was that I somehow left the tuner on and it drained all the battery power. Replacing the batteries fixed the problem! I was very impressed by how quickly they responded. Rondo Music has great customer service and a great product!

Love it!
I love this thing! I hesitated buying it for a while, but I should have gone for it when they first came out! Dare I say it mocks the Kala U-Bass? I dare! :)
