Does it require batteries?** A: They take modified AAA batteries. You have to wrap 2 AAA’s in saran wrap then roll out with rolling pin to desired thickness so they fit inside pencil. But only if you need the self locating gps turned on. **Q: Does this support USB 3.0?** A: No, box clearly says #2 and I don't think they are backwards compatible. **Q: Do they come already sharpened?** A: no they don't come sharpened **Q: WHERE are Ticondaroger pencils made** A: in terms of "would you put a Chinese made pencil in your child's mouth?", it would depend on what they did and how angry they made me.
