This magnetic knife holder promises a lot.... and it delivers
What I like most is that this knife holder finally frees up counter and/or drawer space. The strip is easy to install (be sure to level it before you tighten down the screws) and it actually dresses up our kitchen wall. The magnets are quite strong and very capable of holding a number of the commonly used kitchen knives we use. It actually holds a heavy pair of "food" scissors. All in all... this knife holder is a "sharp" addition to your kitchen.

Handy for decluttering that shambles of a knife drawer!
Just what the knife drawer needed! To be moved to the wall... LOL!After I hung up the magnetic knife holder, I weeded through my knives and passed along some of the extras and spares that had accumulated in the drawer without my knowledge! Pared down the knives to 3-4 good knives that are readily available and in plain sight. This is exactly what I needed!I'm not using the hooks, they seem more in the way than helpful, and then the holder takes up much more wall space with hanging spatulas...Decently strong magnetism. Knives don't fall off, but I also can pull a knife with one hand without worrying about pulling the unit off the wall.Santa brought us this, and we have been using it for a couple months and are very pleased with the quality, look, and function.

The perfect solution for no drawers or counter space!
I moved into my current residence four years ago. Ever since then, I've been trying to figure out what to do with all my kitchen knives and various kitchen tools for which I no longer have either drawer space or countertop space. And then I found these nifty things! They're easy to install, they hold my knives well, and the hooks are a real bonus.I looked at a lot of reviews for the various types of magnetic knife holders, and I note some of the complaints I saw saying they were disappointed that their knives refused to hang completely vertically. To those complaints I say, "Remember your basic physics! Magnets have poles and so do steel knives." Eventually, after long enough contact, the poles of the knives will shift to mirror those of the magnets, and your knives will hang straight. Until then, get your OCD in check.Alas, the one helpful thing these knife and implement holders lack is a built-in level. The person who put mine up is a little horizontal-orientation challenged - they're crooked! So I too have to adjust my OCD tolerance level.

Very functional and well made
Strong magnets do a good job of holding knives and other metallic utensils. Looks professional when mounted, without any plastic (at least that I can see). Mounting hardware is pretty basic (plastic anchor kit), you may need other options like toggle bolts if you are going to go into drywall, or something like wood screws if you mount to a stud. I went into grout (with a little bit of tile around it) and the plastic anchors that come with it work ok. If you are going to go into tile/grout, you will need a 5/32" masonry bit. I chipped a little bit more than I wanted to around the holes, but the design of the rack is such that the mounting holes are surrounded by a healthy amount of fascia, so the mount looks very nice and clean. WIll likely buy another one or two of these.

Perfect in every way
Love it! I looked around for quite a while for a utensil hanger AND a magnetic knife holder. I did not find any kind of utensil hanger that was worthwhile and the magnetic knife holders were all a little too small for large knives. I was very happy to finally find this item. It was delivered on time and it is exactly what it looks like online. My husband had no problem putting it on the wall. It works and looks great! It is exactly what I needed. On top of that, the seller is very interested in making sure customers are satisfied! Very good all around!WHAT A GREAT DESIGN!-The hooks for utensils are totally movable on each bar and can be put on either one. They stay in place nicely when adding or removing utensils due to the magnetic strips.-The fact that there are TWO magnetic strips makes the knives stay securely in place, Knives do not spin/rotate when taken off the rack. Because you grab the knife by the handle, the blade comes off of the bottom strip first and it stays in place at the top which keeps it from disturbing the placement of other items on the rack.-Ours is attached directly to a wooden surface so I cannot speak to hanging it on a regular drywall surface but anchors are included with the product.

Love this! Very strong magnet
Love this! Installed myself. Very strong magnet; holds my knives nicely. The bonus is that I can finally find what I'm looking for!I do have a few words of caution though but they are based totally upon how I choose to store my utensils and not indicative of the quality of the holders . . . Be careful / thoughtful where you place the holder. The knives can be knocked off as I mounted mine on the inside of a cabinet door where the cabinet contains a drawer slide-out. I have forgotten once or twice to fully open the door before pulling out the drawer : / Otherwise, the knives hold nicely when opening and closing the door. I also hung my stainless measuring cups and spoons on the holder cup hooks but due to the metal, it's quite noisy when I yank open the door. I applied adhesive cork board to the door for noise reduction and it's worked nicely.
