Designed like the My Chip Carving Platinum Knives, the Gold Series Knives have a full tang blade made from 420 Stainless Steel hardened to a minimum of Rockwell 58. Each knife is pre-sharpened and ready to cut. 420 SS takes an edge very well and will stay sharp for a long time. The handle is made from Eucalyptus and is securley held in place with large brass rivets. Thumb notches are on both sides of the handle so you are guaranteed the same angle every time you pick up your knife. These knives are produced specifically for My Chip Carving and are imported from El Salvador. Your satisfaction is guaranteed. Awesome knife
Just received gold edition chip knife. Holding it I can tell it is way better then flex cut or the swiss made (I have both). Came with sample of ezboard. Thanks for quality product. Looking forward to years of use. Will buy modified knife when in stock.

this is an easy knife to use
Well built, this is an easy knife to use. It came very sharp and it holds it's edge really well. It's comfortable in the hand.

I recently received the three knives in the Gold Edition Set. They come pre-sharpened (I tried them on the hair on the back of my hand ;o)), just ready to be used. And, sure enough, they are apt to do the job beautifully.The blades are full tang, fixed with brass rivets to the sturdy, light-colored eucalyptus handles. Thumb notches on either side of the handles of the cutting and modified knife make them usable by both right-handed and left-handed carvers. As a novelty, the stab knife, compared to the other two, has a good thumb rest at the end, necessary for the way this knife is used.The set is delivered in a nice wooden box, with a brass lock and the My Chip Carving logo branded in the lid.A perfect, affordable (Christmas) gift to unlock the wonderful world of chip carving!
