ApplicationsThe anchor is made from 410 Stainless Steel, and is Silver Climaseal Coated. This anchor is designed for use in Concrete, Block, and Brick.EnvironmentThe anchor is designed for use in a Moist environment.Head Style The anchor is a Hex Washer head and is designed to allow the head to sit on top of the surface of the item being attached.Hole Diameter/Bit DiameterThe anchor requires a 3/16" hole to be drilled in the base material (Concrete, Block, and Brick). The hole should be drilled with carbide tipped bit that meets ANSI standards and used in a hammer drill.Driver RequiredA 5/16" nut driver is required for driving the anchor into the base material.Diameter of Anchor The diameter of the anchor is 1/4".Length Anchor The length of the anchor is 1-3/4"Thread LengthThe length of the threads on the anchor is 1-3/4" in length.Minimum EmbedmentThe minimum anchor embedment into the concrete is 1". Therefore, the anchor must be installed so that a minimum of 1" of the anchor is embedded into the concrete.Maximum Fixture ThicknessThe maximum fixture thickness or the maximum thickness of the material being fastened for a anchor is 1/4". This will ensure that the minimum embedment of 1" will be met.Fixture Hole DiameterThe hole in the fixture or material being fastened must be larger than the designated diameter of the anchor. I needed to fasten a fixture in a bathroom much more securely than just into drywall. Since the screw heads would show, and also would be exposed to moisture, I chose these fasteners, which are stainless steel. They worked great, allowing me to fasten into the block behind the drywall. The heads have a matte finish, which looks good next to the brushed nickel fixture.
