Starry Night Without Camping Out
A little history about WHY I bought this item …About 20 years ago, my mother and I had to spend a few months living in someone’s house and the room I was in had “glow” stars on the roof along with a ceiling fan. At night, with the windows open and the fan on, it was a surreal and peaceful experience to go to sleep to. I honestly slept pretty good despite it being “temporary” and not even my bed.Six weeks later, we moved into another place (an apartment) and while I still slept great – I missed that ambiance. However I couldn’t reach the ceiling to get the glow stars on and some management companies don’t like tenants “altering” the premises (they barely tolerate “hanging items” like pictures). And, since then I’ve moved several more times and spent time in different apartments (and even rented a house). I haven’t moved in 11 years so my track record is better. So, I would’ve had to hang up stars every place I lived in the last 20 years. Definitely not practical.Okay, moving on …I had been seeing these “projectors” on Amazon and other places, and I finally decided to get one. As I said, I missed the “ambiance” created by the stars. At first I was worried about the sound – would I be able to get to sleep? Would it be too light?WHERE WOULD I PUT IT?All of those things were answered when I got it.Okay first problem – it needed four (4) “AAA” batteries. I didn’t have those. And, I couldn’t put my laptop on my bedside to hook up the globe. I found an older 5V phone adapter to work with. And, yes it worked. I had it on for about six (6) hours and NO issues with it. I would've preferred a compatible adapter, but I can work with it.Of course I will have to wait until the end of the month to get the batteries (payday). I will UPDATE my review (or comment) then with regard to how it works with batteries.Second problem, but not for me – yes, if you want the PROJECTION (stars, lights) on the wall/ceiling – you have to remove the clear plastic globe. It states this in the little manual that comes with it. I have not used it as a regular nightlight with the "globe" on it.The “C” button turns on the rotation. The “A” button is a bit tricky. It adds more clear lights to the stars. “B” has solids, combos … you can look in the photos to get the idea of how it works.Third problem – off switch. It doesn’t have one per se. But, after turning off the rotation, and the “A” button (solid type light), and cycling through the “B” button, the unit turned off. I’ve done this three nights in a row with no issues.I was able to get to sleep with the noise, drifted right off. The light (so long as I didn’t face the device) was easy to deal with.Where did I put it?On my bedside table. The cord was long enough to bunch up a bit when hooked up to the outlet. So, I had plenty of “length” and didn’t worry about the plug falling out or being pulled out.Being powered by USB is convenient, especially if you decide to take it on a road trip. Most hotels I’ve stayed at have bedside USB charging. And, this would be fantastic to take for the kids or anyone who wants to experience it. There are inexpensive “adapters” here on Amazon or other retailers. The only thing that would be perfect would be a timer. I’m sure more expensive models might have them. All in all, it seems pretty decent for the price and for what it is. I’d recommend for kids, teens, even adults who might want to experience a starry night without camping out.

Love these!!
Love these night lights. My grandson is into space. This is my second one I purchased so he doesn't have to take his back and forth to grandma's house. These are VERY delicate. You can dent it if you grab the top. Uses the batteries quickly so I plug it in, but it needs a USB adapter to plug into outlet. Another thing you have to cycle through all the color settings on B to turn it off. But I love them!!

Great and lasted long
I bought this for my 3 yo old who was transitioning to her own room and it lasted 3 years. Not sure the exact wiring that finally went out but it wouldn’t turn on with being plugged in. Definitely getting again, didn’t even change out the shades often so I still have majority of them. Great investment though seeing that I had 2 small children always trying to take it off and destroy it lol.

Worked great for about 2 months
Worked great for the first couple months but there must be a short in the wire or some thing because it just stopped working.

My niece loves it for her baby
Mother and baby both love the soothing pattern and color choices. Turn it on to go to sleep at night. It has a wall plug so don't worry about running out of battery. I would give five stars but the dome is slightly fragile but no problems yet.

Pathetic quality
A very low quality product. As soon as I opened it, I got a very cheap feeling. Its basically a cheap circuit fitted with rotating motor and 4 led bulbs. That's it. Should not have been priced more than 50 rupees.Immediately returning this.

Very bad service and product
The product is so cheap. The value is 10$ but they provide photoshop pictures and it’s not the same when you see the product. It’s not worth it any way.
