Excellent Turntable Mat!
The cork turntable mat seems better than the default felt mat that came with my turntable. It seems to reduce sibilance and other harsh sounds. The size I received however is 1/8" and not 3/16". Did not reduce static like it claims, but does grip the record well.UPDATE 1/30/2017: Seller has contacted me directly on 1/28, offering a full refund and also sending a replacement with the correct thickness. I will update and revise my review once I receive the replacement. The seller, Audio 456, has been pleasant to work with.UPDATE 2/1/2017: I received the replacement cork mat with the correct thickness and it is definitely better than the 1/8" they sent me by mistake. I notice less static build up and less turntable rumble noise. As with the other size, there is hardly any sibilance, and highs are less distorted. Would recommend over the thinner size as long as you are able to adjust the VTA.I've included pictures of the 3/16" mat and 1/8" mat which is on top of the stock felt mat for the sake of comparison.

Definitely less static cling! 3/16" version.
Definitely less static. Used to, I'd lift an LP off my Audio-Technica with felt mat, and the mat would come with! And you could hear the electricity. With the cork, not only does the LP lift easily (even with very low humidity we've had as of late) but the mat stays put, and no crackling. Did initially have a few very small particles of cork bouncing around, but did not cause an issue. I also note the record comes cleaner with the felt brush I use, mainly due to lack of static charge. Did not notice any kind of sound difference, but I am no audiophile.

Excellent Cork Mat
I replaced a rubber mat of the same thickness that came with a Denon turntable. I'm not sure at this point if there is improved sound, but perhaps the high frequencies are a bit more open. At any rate, at this price the well made, beautiful looking mat is worth a try. It is available in three thicknesses to match what it will replace, or change the angle if you are so inclined. I can't see why you should spend more unless you need an extremely thin mat.

I would recommend this mat to any one
I bought this cork mat because I had never used one before always used rubber or felt, what a huge surprise music is more detailed lows,mids and highs. I can't compare this mat to any other cork mat as this is the first one I have used. I don' feel any need to look any further this mat made such an improvement in overall sound I will use this one from now on. The other thing I have noticed is static does not build up as fast or as much on my LP's.I would recommend this mat to any one.

Custom Size for Technics SP-25 Turntable
The Technics SP-25 turntable has a 1/8" lip at the edge of the platter that prohibits a regular, 11.5" ,platter mat to be used. The Turntable Toys mat can come in the size you need with a quick email to the seller. My custom sized mat , 11 3/8" , arrived in 4 days and fit perfectly.

Good quality for the price!
Item was well packaged, the diameter was cut exactly to the size i have asked! Doesn’t leave any kind of residue on the vinyl and no static at all which was a issue with my old rubber one. I can now play all my japaneese pressing with no worries. Fast shipping too! Thanks again!
