My experience with this adapter is that it did not work for my intentions. We hook MDI Vehicle Diagnostic equipment to a computer using this adapter, and it did not function with the provided drivers. The same drivers are available for Mac OS X, so they should work on an A1 Mac, assuming you need this for a supported function. I believe our issue was a software limitation on GM's side. I have both this unit and the unit that is USB-C, and have used both on Windows 10.
