Q: so does this continually move or do you need to pick it up?

You need to pick it up to move the liquid.

Q: How temperature sensitive is this? For example in a car?

This does not change with any temperature.

Q: what are the liquids in side?

I have no clue - I figure colored water I do know that the person I gave it to liked it a lot and still has it on her desk at work - and I gave it her over a year ago - the liquid has not changed or discolored

Q: Could anyone tell me what size this is? That seems a bit pricy for something that's only supposed to be a paperweight...

it's probably only about 4"-6" in length. The reason I bought it was because my son's gf loves penguins and I thought she'd love this. Which she does.It's been a while since I have seen it so my est might be a bit off.
