Street Life

Loved this CD (was it 8 track or cassette back then?) from back in the day. Now my g-kids sing "Street Life" with me in the car and love it. They had played "Street Life" at the Bill Pickett rodeo a couple of months ago and I was singing along, and then my daughter came to where I was sitting and began to sing it also. Someone sitting behind me told my daughter she was too young to know that song. My daughter explained that it was played when she was a little girl; over and over again. LOL. After the rodeo, I ordered it as soon as I got home. And the legacy continues. "And you better not get old."

Bought this for my 17-year-old grandson who said he didn't like jazz, though he likes rock, funk, and hip hop. Since this classic, smooth jazz album is a fusion of all three, he loved it.

This is one of the great albums from the 70s, however, the copy I received was in poor condition; certainly not VG as described.

I bought this CD for the classic jam "Street Jam" but the entire CD does it for me.

I purchased the 12" mix of Street Life back in ' 79 when it introduced Randy Crawford and reached number 1. I thought at 12 mins. in length, the version on this CD would contain most of the elements of that single and it does. All except for the funky guitar solo which made the record worth buying. Really, REALLY disappointed.

Great musicianship and what a voice from Randy.I have the Street Life single on 12" viny and that started my love affair.Shame the album wasn't longer, but it was an LP originally.This is crisp recording despite its age. To be fair some early CD transcriptions are more wholesome than some re-masters.

Nice album, but a bit 'samey' .

This is a really classic title track on this album, but the rest is cool stuff for this genre too. Very enjoyable and cheaper to buy here than to download. Can recommend it for the title track alone, but you'll enjoy the rest.
