Am I able to take the bag the containers came in onto the plane?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but if you want to have it in your carryon bag, of course you are still limited to a 3 ounce total max of liquid.  So obviously, if you filled all of the containers in a set of these with liquids, you would be over your 3oz total max.  Even something like sunscreen is considered a “liquid” (with the exception of the stick/balm type).  This will involve a tiny bit math, and unless the liquid volume capacities of these containers are clearly labeled on the bottom of them or something, you will also have to hope that the TSA screener has a good understanding of how, and the ability (and time), to correctly compute the inner liquid volume capacity from the external measurements of any containers containing a “liquid”, factoring in how full each said container is, and then reaching a correct combined total, (and assuming you are able to do all of this when packing as well, of course), to ensure and be satisfied that you have not exceeded your 3oz max.  Or, alternatively, the screener could simply empty all of the containers with “liquids” in them into an official TSA 3 oz liquid measuring device, after which, in addition to putting your shoes back on, could just separate the liquids from each offer and return them to their correct containers.  Keep in mind that when opinions differ between customers and TSA agents—it is an argument you will very likely lose—and if you are able to actually prove you are right and they are wrong regarding something like the correct total of your combined liquids—good for you!  However, the BEST case scenario will be that you missed your flight.  The worst case scenario? Handcuffs? Arrest? Detainment? Charges? Terrorism Watch List?  Unscheduled trip to a Black Ops Facility?  But yes, if you are in fact able to do this, you certainly may.

How do you change the preprinted labels? All of mine say "Shamp." :-/

Question 3

Can I wash the silicone bottles in the dishwasher (top rack)?

Accepted Answer

I would assume this would work.  Silicone should be able to handle the hot water of a dishwasher.  But, the light weight of the bottles could cause the water jets to push them around inside the dishwasher.  I usually put a bottle open-side up inside a glass.  Then I put in a little detergent and very warm water.  After letting that soak for a few minutes, I scrub the inside of the silicone bottle with a soft toothbrush, then rinse very well.

Question 4

I see oil may be a problem, does that include Argan Oil shampoo/conditioner?

I don’t think so I put conditioner shampoo and mouthwash works fine
