Pcs 60" Tape Measure & Retractable Tape Measure Sewing Accessory Set (Colors May Vary)

The plastic tape measure is a perfectly ordinary tape exactly as you would expect it to be. The retractable tape, however, is problematic. The tape itself is extremely narrow and hard to read. Also, while the mechanism works smoothly in retracting; neither too fast or slow, there is no way to make the tape lock at precisely the spot you want. It will, indeed, lock, but only in the general area you try to stop it, not on an exact target number. This is workable but annoying. This is a soft tape, not metal, so it is necessary for certain uses where a more flexible tape is needed, but it is considerably less useful because of this flaw.

I originally intended to purchase just a retractable measuring tape, but once I saw the set, I figured two was better than one. Turns out that has been true! I used to have a loose tape, which I used often but kind of dreaded using because of having to roll it back up. Now I'm able to keep the retractable tape in my junk drawer for quick household measurements (it's smaller and takes up less room than a standard measuring tape). I now only use the loose tape for body measurements and sizing. I also have a new baby that I measure each month for the sake of recording in his baby book, and I find the retractable tape works well for capturing an accurate measurement of his wiggly and noncompliant body.

Works as one would expect, however, the color may be in a "grab bag". It shows the retractable as blue and I got a not-so- attractive yellow. I wasn't going to complain because it gives me the results I had in mind - ,measuring things. So, if you are hoping to get the color pictured and not getting blue is a deal-breaker I'd contact the seller prior to purchase.Strange story - I ordered a pencil sharpener that showed it was the "eww" color yellow and when it arrived, it was the color blue you see on the screen for the tape measure. LOLSo - moral of the story....yeah, there isn't one.

This item was inexpensive so I expected and inexpensive item.When I received it I was satisfied with my purchase, but I would have rated it higher if it had been of higher quality for the price.

the little metal piece on the end came off. Not the end of the world but I had a bit of trouble getting it back on without pliers. Gave up haha.

I could have gone to the $1 store and brought better! Don't waste your time at all, this is the worse!!! It act as if it's made from thin paper, very thin paper! When I tried to unroll it, it was very limp!!! DON'T BUY!!! I usually love Amazon and been using Amazon for years, but, it is so disappointing and surprising to know that amazon's caring a product that is cheap to buyand isnt worth a cent!!! I hope amazon will go through their products like before, so we, customers won't be disappointed again.

Perhaps they just packaged it wrong for mine but the Retractable Tape part of the combo was only 40 inches! The regular "loose" tape was correctly 60" and came in yellow, but when the package is titled "60" Measuring Tools" I expected (and needed) both items to be the same length. Off to try a different brand.

I cannot say anything about the accuracy because I have not tested or checked. The retractable tape makes a noisy clicking sound when you extend or retract it, but the mechanism works fine. All in all, I'm okay with these two.
