Movie Magic Screenwriter Version 6 (download code) CD not included

When I first received this product, I thought it would be hard to use, but like the  DRAMATICA WRITERS DREAMKIT 4 (WIN 9598MENT2000XP/MAC 8.0)  it happens to be a great and fairly easy program to use. I got this as a big treat for myself after using Celtx (a free screenwriting software available online) for a couple years. I thought I was getting something better, but the short answer? STICK WITH CELTX! Or Final Draft, but I haven't used that enough to give a solid review.Celtx has a few bugs but not nearly as many as this software! Movie Magic's paste function is obnoxious (there's a setting that allows you to change it, but it apparently only works on Windows. Huh??) and the whole program shuts down randomly. You just look at it wrong and oops! Gone. Oh, you lost everything since your last save too. Darn. I'm using a Macbook Pro, by the way, and it is NOT slow or old. All of my other programs work fine.There are also some strange bugs when it comes to magnifying the page...other random things the program does that you wish you could turn off, but you can't...And the voices that come with it? To read your pages aloud? Absolutely ridiculous! There are only about two that actually sound like normal people. All the rest are weird sound effect voices or helium-sucking voices or foghorn-sounding voices. This was one of the reasons I got the program. But...wow. NOT WORTH IT AT ALL.I'm returning Movie Magic if I can, and trying Final Draft. Or just sticking with Celtx. I had no idea how good Celtx was until now. I assumed it was sub-par because it was free, but apparently that's not the case!

I really like all the features this has. It definitely makes writing a screenplay much easier. I do agree that there must be some glitches in the PC version. Ones that I've noticed are that any transition gets pushed to the right side of the page, when I'm pretty sure it belongs on the left. And the spacing between actions and scenes is too close. Scenes should be two "enters" after an action, and the program only sets it to one.Other then those things. The program does its job.
