Nice Instruction Manual
Very nice instruction manual from a guy who knows what he's doing. He writes in a clear, unambiguous fashion, providing tips from his years of flooring experience. He's not a professional writer, but that doesn't really matter once you see how much value there is in what he has to say. I purchased the paperback version, rather than the Kindle because I figured it would give me something I can mark up and dog ear as needed. One small issue I had with the book was that it has no page numbers. It would be really nice, when he is referring to another section of the book, if he could provide a page number to turn to. It's not a big deal since the book is not very large and, once you find the section of interest, it's easy to mark it with a post-it note.

Buy it, you'll learn a ton.
The author definitely knows his stuff and it's easy to be overwhelmed by all the information, so I'd suggest you start reading it a week or two minimum before you tackle a laminate flooring job on your own. I did learn a lot from the book, however the only critique I'd have is there is no table of contents (or at least not in my book) which made it frustrating while looking for specific chapters on certain information in the moment. Overall, very educational read, the author is no academic, but hey, we're installing floors here not learning applied physics or chemistry. Very plain English, which is nice for a dumb redneck like me! Felt confident going into the job (was humbled by door jambs and all the weird corners in our house) and the book did help. Definitely recommend!

Well Worth Your Time and Money!
This paper back book is very informative but also very boring - which I expected! I didn't think I'd be biting my nails as I read it so I gave it 5 stars because it was well written, informative and covered all the bases that I hadn't thought of! This is my first time attempting to laminate a powder room and I didn't foresee many topics that were included. Easy to read and worth your time and money.

I don't need to read a stupid book just play it by ear.
The book makes it look like installing laminates is easy bit it's not. It's actually pretty hard because those stupid laminates don't just snap into place; stupid things break easy as hell. Plus my floors had A/C heating ducts in the floor in which he doesn't cover that all. It actually takes a little practice so the first couple of rows look terrible but looks okay after that. Didn't need a book to do this because you're going to have to learn this by practicing. The author gets an "A" for effort thought. Thank you.

Quick and simple. Perfect for a beginner.
I like his approach. Very simple and the price is right. Just needed a quick guide to get me thru the basics and understand the math without too much calculations. Really enjoyed the book

It's OK and Has Some Solid Instruction for Beginner
I didn't much but I had already read a bunch of online articles and watched a number of you tube how-to videos. But for the price it is an easy buy and you might get a few nuggets that save you time and aggravating missteps as you conquer that first project. But this isn't rocket science. You can do it!

Get it. It will help you.
Excellent how to book on installing a laminate floor. The section titled "The Installation - Math Haters Unite" will save you time and frustration. The book is worth the cost and the time to read it.
