Duragear Bucket Car Seat Cover for Pets 518103011 - MicroVelvet Slate

After a month of use I have finally figured out how to install it properly. The entire installation should be done from the rear of the seat. Slide the lower elastic strap all the way to the bottom of your seat, the cover should be velvet side out, on the front seat. Then slide the middle band over the seat to the spot where the back and seat meet. Then buckle the last strap around the headrest. When you go to the front seat just slide the cover down so that it laps over the front of the seat. It should be held in place. Take the little white pvc tube and insert into the pocket in the middle of the cover and push between the seat and back. 5 minutes tops the first time, faster after that. I do wash it about once a week in the machine with hot water like all his other washable things. I do air dry it over night and it's ready to go again.

This cover fit the front passenger seat of my 02 F150 pretty well, maybe a little bit narrow. The top strap goes around headrest fine. There is a dowel to insert between bottom/back to secure in place. But the bottom strap is very strange. It is just a fixed elastic strap and not wide enough to go around my seat bottom. Even if it did, it's sewn in too far forward to be very effective. I ended up just wrapping it around the seat position adjustment lever at the bottom front of the seat and tied it off there. That makes it pucker in the middle and the edges come up a bit, not lying flat. I decided to keep it anyhow because it'll probably do the job.

I received the seat cover and it seemed pretty easy to install. A clip holds a strap around the head rest to hold the back up, great. There is a little PVC pipe thing to tuck it into the seat crease- it doesn't fit in my car but I wasn't worried about that. The bottom of the seat is supposed to secure with this long elastic loop- there is no where on my car to loop the elastic around?? The seat is bolted to the floor, how can I get this loop around?? So now the bottom of the seat slides all around. The cover itself seems pretty sturdy, water poof, and nice and soft for my pup. I just wish I could get it to stay in the seat. Also it should be noted that it does not look anything like the picture. It does not wrap around the seat- either the back or seat part, it sits on top of it. I did figure out a way to loop the big elastic band waaaaay under the seat and secure it all the way nearly to the back seat- it is that huge! but it is staying put for now.

This is great if you're willing to be creative with how to strap the bottom in as I had to. I didn't see it as a problem due to nothing could possibly cater to every car make and model. I leave it in my car at all times so it was important to me that it didn't look tacky. It blends in well and looks very nice. It's soft, durable, and easy to clean. The dog likes it and looks comfortable as she rides. Plus I don't have to listen to her slide around and nails scratching the usual waterproof materials that are used.

Works great. The bottom strap goes over the seat first and the rest is simple to figure out. It amazes me that some people just don't get it and can't figure out the bottom strap. Covers the seat in my Honda element nicely. When the dog isn't riding I just undo the top strap and stuff it all under the seat. I don't use the middle strap because of how the seatbelts in my Element work, but there is no movement or shifting, even with my 80 pound dog. Durable, high quality, exactly what I was looking for!

Perfect fit for my 2014 Honda Civic, installed quickly. I needed something to keep my dog from sliding around on the seat, and to protect the leather from her nails. As a bonus, the velvety fabric traps a lot of her fur and keeps it from going everywhere. I have not tried washing it yet, but it seems well made. As others have mentioned, the bottom strap should be taken all the way over the top of the seat and down the back, where it will anchor underneath the seat.

I bought two of these because I am terribly clumsy and they protect against stains amazingly well! Easy to wash when dirty and they do stand up to dog claws. It really wasn't difficult to put on, so I'm not sure why all the reviews stated it was impossible for it to stay on. It's obvious the elastic straps are long enough to slip over the back of the seat.

There are no instructions with the cover at all. After a lot of trial and error I figured out that the long elastic strap on the bottom goes over the top of the seat and around the sides at the bottom.
