Snare Drum and Tom-tom Isolation Mount – Fits all Brands of Drums - Little Booty Shakers (Black - 3 Pack)

They work perfectly and are definitely effective. My only issue is when I use them on the main snare of my kit. I use a 14” snare, but with the Booty Shakers attached it feels like a 16” drum sitting between my legs. It forces the snare stand too far open and rubs against my legs as I play.I cut the Booty Shakers in half and only use the bottom portion now. It seems to work ok, but looks ghetto and is a waste of material.If you have a very wide stance and don’t play double pedal, this shouldn’t be an issue. But if you like everything tight like me, it might be a problem.

I bought these specifically for my 14 inch 1968 Slingerland metal snare drum.I wanted an isolation effect.This did the trick.It isolates vibration from the drum stand to the drum.It will not exclusively eliminate ring.It will not necessarily eliminate harmonic overtones.It will not change the dampening effect either, but it can if you adjust it.There are extra benefits from using these Velcro attached cushions.It provides additional insulation from deformation of the hoop.It keeps the hoop more snug that with the rubber edges of the clamp.I found that there is a sweet spot when tightening your snare hoop clamp.I am talking about the turnbuckle that cinches up the snare drum stand tothe bottom of the snare drum. Use your drum stick to tap the drum while youcinch that turnbuckle. You will notice a tonal harmonic hum that will dampenwhen you hit the sweet spot of just the right tension. Stop right there.Also, back to the "ring" subject. Yes, these can reduce ring, but again you willhave to locate the sweet spot as described above. In a compromise situation,consider painters masking tape on the bottom head near or over the snare itself.

Was skeptical at first but worked great for my tom sitting on a snare stand. Added lots of sustain and improved the sound. Great product

The foam looks robust enough, the velcro strips don't look like they will come undone and the tom resonance is unhindered even when tight enough to give the drum stability in the basket. Does what it says it does 10/10

I was almost mad at how well this product works! Immediately after I put them on the snare basket, my 12” tom sang beautifully! I just started using a snare stand for my tom, and I was displeased with how choked out it was...until this $16 dollar fix. Just mad I didn’t think of this first, well done! Haven’t tried on the snare drum, that may be next. Hard to see product in photos, but that’s actually a good thing!

Love these snare cushions. I like how they give a slight lift and soft seat to my drum.

I have a new mounted tom I just got that has wooden hoops. The gibraltar iso mount I was given kept choking the drum. I put it on a snare stand and had the same result. Out of desperation, I bought these, and voila, I have a nice long tone!Hopefully they hold up when gigging and also they do make you open the stand jaws further than before, which may affect positioning a bit.

They really change a bit the snare sound.
