BBI Flags Flag Pole Holder

I read through a gazillion reviews on different flag brackets, and it always seemed like there were some big issues with all of them. I needed a bracket that could withstand high winds/storms, as that's common climate during spring and summer around where I live. Also, the bracket would need to be installed on brick/concrete since that's the only material available on the exterior of my house. :) If that's also what you're needing, look no further! This bracket is solid as heck. It's metal that has been coated white. There's definitely a good deal of weight to it, which is what I wanted. I love this bracket so far, and hoping it stands the test of time/storms. :) As a side note in case it may help you: If you're drilling into brick/concrete/stone, look for drill bits that are listed for "all" types of materials. If you get the one for brick/concrete, ironically, it doesn't work. It will either break, or it won't drill far enough. But the ones listed for "all", will get the job done. It takes awhile (2 drill charges and an hour later, haha), but it's the only bit that seems to at least work. :)I also bought the Grace Alley 1" spinning flag pole in white, which went perfectly with this.

The bracket seems well made except mine got past their quality control. The bracket had excessive flash. (A thin web or fin of metal on a casting which occurs at the joint between the dies. This excess metal is due to the necessary working and operating clearances in a die, but must be removed before painting of the part.)This prevented my 1" flag pole from being fully inserted into the bracket. I had to use a round file to file off the flash and then it worked fine and I can use the knob to properly holds the pole in the bracket.This also results in filing off the paint in the area of the flash, so I don't know how it's going to effect the bracket long-term. But I did not want to go thru the hassle of returning it.When they found out about the trouble I had, they immediately promised to replace the bracket, no charge. Twenty-five days later, I'm still waiting. So I sent them a copy of their email, which promised the replacement as soon as they got more in stock.They Sent me a new bracket and a very nice American Flag for my trouble. Thanks, bbi Flags.

THIS IS A FANTASTIC BRACKET! NO NEED TO MESS WITH WING NUTS TO ADJUST THE ANGLE. I CAN EASILY REMOVE THE FLAG IN A PINCH WHEN THE WEATHER GETS BAD. THEY ARE COMPLETELY METAL AND DON'T BREAK OR BEND IN HARD WINDS SO MY FLAGS DON'T BLOW OFF THE PORCH POSTS LIKE WITH THE PLASTIC BRACKETS. THE WHITE PAINTED FINISH IS BEAUTIFUL. THIS IS MY 2ND BRACKET PURCHASE. THE FIRST ONE IS OVER A YEAR OLD AND STILL LOOKS BRAND NEW. THANK YOU!

We moved recently and I left a high quality flag holder behind. I was hoping to find one as sturdy and durable as it had been. I ordered the bbi 2 position flag holder because this is what I had previously and also because it was labeled as strong/durable. I also like the white color to match the column I would be attaching it to. It arrived just in time for the Memorial Day weekend and was easy to mount. Our flag added beauty and offered a "welcome home" feeling hanging by our front porch. We had a windy Memorial Day and the holder seemed capable of holding the flag pole in place. I haven't had it long but it this flag holder should meet my expectations for years to come!

this is a nicely made piece and it was easy to install....the 2 positions are o.k,but I personally don't like the angles it holds the flag....its fine for an American flag but my wifes decorative flags aren't right for it...I cant say anything bad about it,but I prefer the fully adjustable style..the problem is they are all junk that's why I bought this...it will last a long time and all and all I'm happy with it

Seems like a well built bracket haven't had a good wind storm to test yet. I take my flag down whenever it gets windy unless I'm not home. Last bracket I had was a metal adjustable one and it snapped off right at the base. I don't see that happening with this one. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is it is made in China. I would happily pay a few extra dollars for one like this made in the USA.

Very nice. I substituted SS fasteners for the as-supplied screws, and wish I could locate a SS replacement for the 'wing nut' piece.But the quality of this powder-coated unit itself appears to be excellent. I finally decided not to go on-the-cheap (after having my last [cast pot-metal] holder snap off in high winds and dump the pole + flag in the bushes - when I didn't demount my house-mounted US flag in time).Looking forward to much better longevity and better appearance from this unit.

So far so good. Bought this to replace a raw aluminum Annin flagpole holder that snapped in half from high winds. Hopefully this one will hold up better. Aluminum construction seems to be a bit beefier than the Annin. I like the fact that it is neutral color and nice finish. Screw holes were big enough for 1/4" concrete lag bolts. There's an actual knob instead of a generic wingnut so that's nice, bit IMO it is placed too close to the rear of the bracket. Makes it a fingertip effort rather than whole hand, but not a huge deal. Will report back in a year or so.
