Apple Picker 6 Arm Metal Saddle Rack

My wife and I needed a sturdy saddle rack for our tackroom that could hold some pretty hefty saddles. I took a chance on an Amazon purchase and this thing is solid! Starting with packaging...well....it sucked. The boxing was fine but it looks like UPS poked some nice holes in it and a couple of bolts were missing. No biggie, $5 later after a trip to Lowes and it was built. Easy assembly. The rack is solid. I've already thrown saddles on and off recklessly and it wont tip over. It's low enough for my 3 yr old to grab his saddle off but tall enough to space the saddles out. Not too tall though. I'm 6' tall and its a gentle toss on the top rack. Nothing worse than any horse trailer rack. The whole thing is 2" steel square tubing. Painted with a brownish-red textured finish. Mostly brown as previous reviewer said. It's pretty compact so it doesnt take up a ton of space. The actual racks do not bolt to the main frame which I'm not sure if I'd like or not, but I really like it because I was able to set the racks spaced as far as I needed for my saddles. Show saddles and my roping saddles are huge and they just barely touch with the racks spread closer to the ends. I'm very pleased with this. I thought, for $170 bucks this is probably some POS, but I'm thoroughly impressed. This is coming from a lifelong horseman who wants good quality stuff that could take a beating. It also has nice visual appeal. Not ugly or cheap looking. Havent found a flaw other than the packaging to hold the hardware should be in a better baggy or something.

Love this! Wish I had bought years ago! You can adjust the saddle holders any where on the racks.Hard time getting some bolts in holes to align. Need basic common sense to assemble.This product is not a red color but brown, I don’t care about that, actually glad it’s brown.

I bought two of these. I put them in my horse trailer to replace some old ones. I have 4 saddles that weigh 40 pounds and 4 saddles that each weigh 22 pounds. The first time I took my trailer for a drive (on the freeway) for about 60 miles, all of the saddles fell off the racks and the saddle mounts had all twisted and folded down to the point the saddles slid off. The main frame is 2x2 inch post but the saddle arms are 1x2. These are the ones that twisted. Very disappointing!

A bit over priced based on quality. It does it’s intended job but is awfully wobbly, with or without saddles on it. Didn’t come with all of the pieces needed.

Nice rack. Better than getting a couple of 3 tier racks that are half the quality. Very sturdy
