Made by Ukrainian artists Vasili and his family in West Ukraine. This style of paintings goes back for hundreds of years and represents wonderful example of Ukrainian Folk Art. Pysanka came from Ukrainian word "pisat" (to write) From 1000 eggs you can't find exact same size and design. It is as fingerprints: all eggs are different

Not your kid's plastic toy
First of all, this is NOT an easter egg full of treats.In Ukraine, eggs really are painted for decorative purposes just like here in North America.I like the amount of detailed patterns and color schemes the artist focused on each INDIVIDUAL EGG.This looks like something a patient watchmaker would try to make and succeed.
