Good product, you won't be disappointed. Great customer service
I bought my third one on March 11th, had a problem with the rubber strap..it was too long and broke one of the plastic arms, I notified Frankford arsenal told him I need a new lid. Frankford arsenal responded a couple of days later and today April 9th I received the complete new unit. This is how you keep customers happy, beware the rubber strap is a bit long and puts a lot of sress on the hangers, so trim as necessary. great company. I use most of their products. Good customer service and a customer for life. Cheers

Nice Unit
I purchased this unit for use with brass that I clean in my Frankford Arsenal wet/stainless steel pin media tumbler and I'm very happy with the product. It's built very nicely and works perfectly. The bottom of the unit has a built in screen to prevent the steel pins from being lost as you pour off the liquid and the top of the unit also has a built in screen (in the center of the top) that you can use to flush off the residual cleaning fluid from your brass by placing the brass in the upside down cover and then pouring clean water over the brass. The handle are a press fit into the sides of the brass containment basket and once inserted fit perfectly and snugly. The base has two molded positions for holding the containment basket. One slot enables you to open the basket to pour the cleaning solution, brass and steel pins into the basket and this position keeps the basket open and prevents it from rotating while you pour the water and brass into it. The second position enables the basket to fully turn as you turn the handles. The basket fits nicely into both molded slots. The rubber locking tab that holds the top and bottom of the brass basket closed is a very thick piece of rubber that is very sturdy and keeps the basket securely closed with no chance of it opening while you are spinning your brass. My only complaint about this product is that once you engage the rubber closing tab the top and bottom of the basket are closed very tightly together and it can be a bit difficult to open up again due to the fact that there is no tab or extension to grasp hold of. You have to gently insert either your finger nail or a knife blade between the seem where the top and bottom meet then gently pry it open. Some sort of plastic tab molded onto the top portion to grasp onto would've made opening the basket much easier. It's really not a big deal to me though, it's really just an annoyance. All in all it's a very nice unit and I'm very satisfied with it. It definitely makes processing much easier for the brass that I clean using the wet tumble process.

Good
A little on the expensive side but does a good job separating media. I recommend.

This thing works!!!
Works better than anything else I have used. Works both wet and dry. Gets the pins and water out of the freshly washed brass better than anything else I have tried. One of the tubs has a drain in the bottom the other doesn't. I get most of the pins out using the tub with a drain, rinse the suds off and then I switch to the tub with no drain filled with water to really wash the cases good. Clean the tub and rinse again with distilled water. Finally spin the brass with no water in the tub to get rid of most of the water before drying. Seems laborious but it goes really quick and the end result is amazing.

Works great with dry media
I have recently began reloading ammo. Step #1 is prepare the brass. I am reloading 6.5 Creedmoor ammo. I have a Lyman Turbo 600 Tumbler and have been using that to clean brass in small batches. I didnt have a colander or anything I wanted to use, so I had been digging thru the walnut media with gloved hands, grabbing a piece of brass, then having to hold it against the vibrating stem to get the media inside the rifle brass to come out. Tedious and time consuming. I decided very quickly I wanted a media separator. This looks like it is more designed for wet tumbling, but it is supposed to work for both. I was a little unsure of whether spinning the rifle brass a few times would get the media out from inside the small mouth of the rifle brass.I ordered it up and it came Prime quick. Took about 10 seconds to put together. I tumbled some brass for a few hrs with walnut media and a little Nu Finish polish. Opened the blue ball, removed the bowl from my tumbler and dumped it all in. Closed up the ball and moved it into the right slots on the case, and put the lid on. (The rubber piece to close the ball is tight, but I dont worry at all about it coming open. I just pull one corner out to open it, and push the rubber piece back in place one corner at a time to close it.) I spun it around for 20 seconds or so in both directions. No leaks or media flying out at all. Took the lid off, opened the blue ball, and there sat my super shiny clean brass. I was careful about turning each piece over tapping it to make sure any media inside dumped out, and there was virtually none! I saw maybe 1 or 2 kernels of media over the course of all 20 pieces of the rifle brass. You can see in the pic of the rifle brass the one piece of media in with the brass after tumbling. Worked perfect to remove all of the media from inside the rifle cases. I did some 9mm cases with a wider mouth, and that, as expected, worked even better.Put away the brass, poured the media from the bottom of the separator back into the tumbler and I am ready to clean more brass. Couldnt be happier with how well it worked. I literally dont have a single complaint. It will save me a ton of time, was easy to use, and there was no mess. Couldnt ask for much more! Highly recommended! And from reading the reviews, it works great for wet tumbling if I get into that. But based on how clean and shiny my brass is now, I dont see much need to go that route for now.

Awesome Product
This model is so much better than the original. I used the old one for years and tumbler media always managed to fly around the floor. Not with this one.
