Wellness Trufood Baked Blends Natural Grain Free Dry Raw Dog Food

My 10lb chihuahua mix has got to be the pickiest eater on earth. I can't tell you how much dog food we've gone through because she refuses to eat her food. Also, there's not a whole lot of options out there for healthy, grain-free dog food that is small-breed kibble size.This is how it usually goes. I buy the food. I give her the food. She just stares at it. I sit down and coax he into eating ("go on, eat it, youre suuuuch a good girl" *eye roll*) She eats a few kibbles, slowly, reluctantly. She walks away. My fatso french bulldog runs over and devours the rest.For the first time ever, I see her actually excited to get her meal, and she'll immediately eat this up until there is nothing left in her bowl. Thank you, Wellness for a healthy small bite option that my little one loves!!

I have two 1 year old cats, a tabby and a tuxedo, and they loved this food right away. They have been fed Wellness Core food from the beginning, so transitioning to this wholesome recipe was not a big deal. Its a bit pricey for us, so we mix it: half Wellness Core Indoor formula and half Trufood formula.AS A SIDE NOTE, FEEDING YOUR CATS QUALITY FOOD PAYS OFF! In our recent visit to the vet we got really good compliments about their coats and pearly teeth. They even asked me what kind of food they were eating because they were impressed on how healthy they look ;)

I was very hesitant to purchase this dog food because of the price. My dogs were both on Wellness Core, one ate it and one tolerated it, sometimes. I mix the dry food with the wet food and have done so since day one. The one who ate it would sometimes bring it back up, this happening even tho we bought him a slow feed bowl. So between the one bringing it back up and the one turning his nose up to it 3 out of 7 days a week I was really just throwing money away. So when this product came out I thought what could I loose. From the first night I fed them they both ate it, they actually looked at me like 'is this for real'? Now both actually drool when I am mixing it up. Yes I still do add the dry and wet, using half the container of wet food for the two of them, so a case of the wet food will last 24 days. I haven't figured out how long an 18 pound bag lasts, but one dog gets 2 cups and the other gets 1 1/2 cups once a day. Yes my dogs are my other babies, part of our family, and I want to feed them only the best ingredients. If they didn't like this food I would have started making my own. I even looked up recipes before this product came out but, so far they are loving it so I will continue to buy it for them.

*UPDATE* 8-15-15Our cat's skin condition has remained a non-issue with this cat food!We adopted another cat from the anticruelty society and he LOVES this food!This food is very good for the cats and they both love it. We have also tried the Wellness brand 3 oz wet food cans for the boy, as suggested by our veterinarian due to urinary issues associated with male cats, and he LOVES them as well.We are thrilled that the Wellness TruFood cat food has worked so well for us as we can feed both cats the same food without adverse affects to the female's skin condition.Home run from Wellness!!!Ever since this bag arrived, our cat has been trying to get into the pantry where we keep it.She's done this with other bags of cat food, but we've never seen her this persistent before.Sure enough, when we fed her, she gobbled it all up.She has been on prescription cat food, only available from the vet, for a while so we wanted to see if this alternative will work for her. She has food allergies that cause skin irritation.We cannot conclusively say whether or not this will replace her Rx cat food as her allergic reactions to food take a little time to manifest, but if this works out for her, it will be a less costly means of feeding her healthy cat food that is good for her over health and reducing, or eliminating, her skin conditions due to food allergies.

My Frenchie has been on this food for over a year and was happy to have found it because she's allergic to certain foods, which this does not contain. I guess somewhere down the road they changed their formula for their green beans and she will not stop throwing them up. My partner and I wake up 3 out 7 nights to her vomiting. When we realized it was only the green beans we started to pick them out. But even still she would puke stomach bile. We thought she just had a sensitive stomach until our other Frenchie started to throw up the green beans too. Definitely never buying this product again!

This is the ONLY dog food that my 8 year old MinPin will eat dry. & believe me, we've tried ALOT of different foods.We feed him this is the morning and a wet food at night.Sorry if this grosses anyone out, but I just want to be real in the hopes it helps someone:He used to often be a bit constipated. Since adding this to his diet, he's had normal formed poops and way less straining. Just now writing this review. He's been on this for about a year now.Will be buying this for awhile to come and have it set up on the subscribe plan which helps tremendously on the cost (since it is a bit pricey).

Based on the research I've done, this is an excellent food. The reason I'm giving only one star is that it often came with an expiration date really close,and the last time there was a hole in the bag. I didn't feel safe giving food from this particular bag to my dog. They took it back no problem but I just don't want to take the chance to give food that is not fresh to my dog, so I don't order it anymore. It's really disappointing because I cannot get this brand in any store in my area.

My cat hated this stuff, and he's a fat rescue who will eat almost anything. He wouldn't eat it unless I mixed in 3 parts of another food into 1 part of this.

Like the food itself. But ended up return it right away because it expires in 5 days. My dog cannot finish 18-pound food in 5 days. I understand the BEST BEFORE date printed on the package is a recommendation. However, I prefer more freshly packaged ones. Too bad. Won't buy again unless it states the BB date before I place the order.

Everything looks wonderful inside and outside the bag, but that's about it. Offered it to a number of different cats and not one would eat it. Disappointing to say the least, especially at a premium price.
