Works great. No issues yet.
I put this on my Wall Control pegboard system and it works great. The outlets are nicely spread across the bar and it works very will. 4-foot is plenty long for me but I could have used a 6-foot bar in my application, but there really isn't a reason to not use the 4-foot bar.

Great Protection For Today's Electronic Home
This is a great power strip, and unlike some the are configured with the flat blades of the socket running parallel with the length of the power strip, which can cause some larger "wall warts" with heavy cords to block the next outlet, even with the generous spacing. The Opentron's outlets are NOT parallel, so that type interference is never an issue. A lot of people use these types surge protected power strips in work shops, which I'm sure is an excellent use. Mine is for something else, which is my home stereo/TV/PC center. With 2 PC's, powered front speakers (the bass speakers have their own amps), and a half dozen or so components, not to mention an antenna, RC charger base, a couple of lights, etc., the AC power cords are out of hand. The ONLY way to have the racks that hold it all close to the wall is with this type of power strip, as the standard types are too bulky, especially when several would be required. As it is I have two of these 12 outlet strips end to end, and so my racks close to the wall. (And, VERY difficult to get to some of the component connectors, thankfully not often required!) If some think this is a lot of outlets, it's not, as I also have 4 AC wall outlets, and two of those have 4 outlet squids plugged into them, and all that only leaves me with 2 open! No, I've never even knocked out a circuit breaker once, as 90% of the stuff requires minimal power. So, if you're a stereo buff, or want to set up a home theater system, these strips are mandatory, work very well, and easily concealed behind your setup.

Love This!
Works Drear! Perfect addition to my office. Went from multiple power strips to one. Genius whoever designed this there is lots of space between each outlet where in traditional power strips as big as some devices are that you plug in you would have to skip one of the outlets.

Good power strip but needs tweaking
Clamps provided are too lightweight to hold power strip to wall when pulling cord plugs, additional holding of strip is necessary or permanent strapping is required.

Solid Unit
This unit is very well-built, sturdy and strong. The plug outlets seem to be a high grade as I noted a quality feel when plugging into them. There's no slop in the mounted unit, the clips hold the unit in tightly so cord plugs easily plug-in and unplug. They included two screws for each mounting clip, so you'll only need to pre-drill four small holes using a drill bit about the width of a toothpick. Note: the clips are mounted to the wall or surface first then the unit is popped into or out of the clips without tools. They want the clips to be measured so when the unit is fastened-in they'll end up being about 9" inward from each end. I measured inward 9" from each end and put a pencil marks on the unit, then I held the unit where I wanted it to be and used the pencil marks to mark off where I would mount the clips. Then holding the clips over the marks, I marked the holes to be pre-drilled for the clips.I bought this unit to mount on the wall behind a computer desk. The cords for all the computer related equipment had been lying on the floor in a confusing mess. The worst part about having all those cords on the floor was that they blocked the convection of our hot water baseboard heat, and second to that, they created a housekeeping annoyance as cords are difficult to vacuum, and to vacuum beneath and so forth. By mounting this power strip just below the desk height it was hidden from view and resulted in getting all those cords off the floor. Further, with my desk being on wheels if need be I can now easily access any of the cords, or switch-off or on, the entire unit. The unit has surge protection and the on-off switch also acts to resets the unit if it ever tripped. The on-off switch illuminates a deep red color and you can find it easily in a dark room. The unit is painted black and the plug outlets are white. Having the plug outlets being white they are easy to locate since they don't blend-in as they would if they were black too. YES, I would buy this power strip again.

All the power I need
I bought this item to provide power at my desk in my home office. The metal design is extremely sturdy with multiple mounting options including built in screw tabs which I chose to utilize. Attached to a stud this baby could hold my weight if I wanted to stand on it. The power ports are of good quality and there is a master switch to shut the whole strip down. I am told that the device is surge protected, but I do not see a reset switch, instead I have mine plugged into an APU to control power at my desk. I think this would be an excellent purchase for my workshop as well, perhaps to mount above the workbench to provide convenient power to tools. Cant say enough good things about this product. I will be buying more in the future as the need arises. Oh also, sockets are exactly 3.50" apart center to center.
