While checking Amazon for some new and unique magazines I came across this interesting volume (Light of Consciousness: Journal of Spiritual Awakening) and decided to subscribe to it.After receiving it I found it to be an interesting and informative read. I was familiar with most of the material in this magazine because of my life-long interest and research into Zen, Taoism, Mindfulness, numerous forms of meditation and other esoteric topics.This 64 page issue contains the following material: Faith, the greatest healer, the transformation of our world, life lessons from the native way, knowing: how feeling connect us with all life, hold holder Koans, Awestruck, be gentle with yourself, the practice is the path, why I picked this mess, learning to manage triggering emotions, Param Para: answers to questions on the spiritual path, guardians of peace and compassion. There is also a book review section and a seeker’s bazaar section.If you are seeking an unusual (and a little pricy as well) esoteric magazine with some thoughtful articles you may want to check out this magazine.Rating: 4 Stars. For some time I had been looking for an interfaith spiritual magazine at the level of seekers with some experience. This one is based in Hinduism but contains articles on other traditions and evidences religious tolerance. At a certain level of practice and experience the boundaries which divide us are just plain wrong thinking. This magazine would be a good basic education for beginners but also seems challenging enough for a well-worn traveller on the road. It is literate and sophisticated, and the graphics are beautiful and inspiring.

I got this as a Mother's Day gift for my mom last year, and she's asked me for a renewal for this year. She's enjoying all of the articles, and has even gone off and explored several of the topics brought up in the magazine. She hasn't complained of any filler or excessive ads, etc., so I'm counting this one as a win.

A great magazine discussing many topics on ones consciousness and inner well being! I must say I have learned how to remain calm and not to react stressful situations. I would highly recommend if your a reader searching for great enlightened topics. Our journey is short on this wonderful planet. Take the time to read and better your inner spirit with the most current topics!

I've been reading this magazine for years and there is always something in it to improve my present way of existing. It was nice to have it delivered. I miss Borders. LOL

Excellent articles running the spiritual gamut. The variety and rich scope touched all my desires for meaningful dailogue. The thoughts and subjects discussed in my first issue cause me to eagerly await the next. I'm so looking forward to more articles that will scratch that deep and soulful itch!

Absolutely love this Journal. To bad it is not a monthly publication. Can't wait for the next issue.Thought provoking well written, covers a lot of great material.

This is a wonderful magazine. Absolutely full of information, very indepth. There is no wasted space on these pages! At the back there is an advertising section that is interesting to look through.
