ENGLISH OAK COLOUR FLOATING WALL SHELF RECLAIMED RUSTIC STYLE 125CM

Was a little apprehensive about the method of fitting to the wall being 2 x long anchor screws which need to be installed horizontal and square to wall, but with help from my son letting me know if I was drilling into brickwork square, and a level gauge taped to the drill, it worked out extremely well. The shelves slid onto the anchor screws easily, in line and horizontal. They looked great and really finished off kitchen well.

Lovely solid wood with a nice smooth finish and rounded edges. Extremely easy too install.

Substantial piece of wood with heavy duty fittings to allow comfortable fitting of product.Would look good in any room.

It is a lovely shelf. Nice wood and well crafted and coloured and waxed. On one side there is a couple of cracks, but the other side is smooth. I installed the shelf smooth side up. I know it's a natural product and may arrive with cracks and such, but it would have been useless as a shelf if both sides were not smooth.It would be good if the product description mentioned that one needs a 10mm drill bit for installation.Most drill bit sets I have had only go up to size 8, so I had to pause the installation to go out and buy a 10mm drill bit. If I'd known in advance then I would have bought a 10mm bit at the same time.Also required is a spirit level and a 10mm spanner. I had these already but it would be good to mention this in the product description too.Once I had the drill bit, the installation went ok. I found even the small shelf to be too heavy to hold still against the wall while measuring, so I had to use measurements of the shelf and mark them out on the wall. A printed template included with the shelf would have been very useful, but I understand why that may be too onerous for the seller to provide, given the handcrafted nature of the product. You may find you need the help of another person to install the shelf, especially the larger ones.Overall, it's a lovely shelf and fits the purpose I needed it for perfectly.

This is an excellent product, nicely made/finished and pretty straight forward to install. Delivery time was great, perfect for the lazy DIYer who can't be bothered to go to the shops for this sort of thing.
