I purchased this back in July (2013), and I only use this on my backup console in the spare room, but so far nearly 3 months later there's been no issues). This came in sixaxis packaging, and L3/R3 joysticks are very responsive, so that's pretty much how I know it's not a knock-off.Good product, will buy again, and definitely recommend. One bit of advice is to add it to your wish list and watch the price as it will fluctuate.
