A book to defeat ennui
A motivating argument against ennui, this brief book examines our excuses for inaction and suggests a new mindset of working harder to achieve more joy. It asks what you want life to be in 10-20 years, and whether you want to be the one on your deathbed wishing you'd done this or that. Finally, accountability to yourself and the people you care about is shown to be a contributor to happiness and productivity, reminding us that others can help us make our lives better if only we will help them first.

Should be required reading in school
This short book is nothing short of extraordinary! If I had to sum up all the important life lessons that took me years to learn on my own, it still wouldn't come close to the gems of wisdom contained within these pages.I feel more invigorated than ever to pursue my passions, and surround myself with others who challenge and inspire me. Bassam Tarazi, this is masterfully done!

Useful Tips and Insights
I recently heard Bassam Tarazi present on his tips for goal setting and overcoming excuses. We all find personal effectiveness in different ways and he offered a number of suggestions to pick and choose from. This book includes some great tips on achieving as individuals and as collective communities. Thanks Bassam.

You'll change when you'll make yourself accountable.
How could we achieve our goals? why despite all our best intentions we just get off track easily?I just read the introduction and skim lightly through other author's material ( because no time to waste reading and especially thinking!). The web is waiting there and you may miss new and valuable information, which leads you to another new and fantastic information, and the cycle continues at the speed of a click. One big idea I get from this author is that we fail because we think individually about our goals, and being unaccountable (as the culture makes this notion of accountability really awful), it's easy to slip out of the road. One may say: nothing new here. But how and when will you make yourself accountable?

Inspiration For All Ages
As a member of the baby boomer generation I was worried that this book would only be directed to members of the millennial generation, but I was wrong. It was a great read that allowed me to analyze my current mindset to help me tackle the insecurities and unknowns of a new chapter of my life. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is searching for meaning and empowerment. It's amazing what accountability can do.

I wish I had read this 20 years ago
While most of the points made in this book sound common sense, they do because most of us had to learn them the hard way. It would be beneficial to give this book to people in their early 20s before they start their careers.
