Impressive, Pure copper, plated with gold. Well made
I was very impressed with this plug. Very solidly made. Pure copper plated with gold and from appearance the gold plating is very well done. To buy some of the audiophile favorite plugs you could easily drop hundreds of $. I find if you have good well made wire and a good well designed plug you are about as close to the ultimate sound as possible. The super hi end power cords I have heard are tone controls and many limit the dynamics. The DIY way with these and well engineered AC wire can match and exceed many uber pricy cables. These plugs were easy to work with. I bought 3 more sets and well as the hybrid 15/20 wall outlets.

Stunningly Good
I decided on the gold plated version and I must say I am amazed at the physical quality of these and sonic improvement it brought to my system. There's nothing at all cheap about these, they are extremely well built and it appears they can accept really thick awg cable, much thicker than the 12 awg I used. All contacts internally inside the IEC and plug, as well as the blades on the A plug, are all gold plated. I swapped out the AC plug and IEC on my Belden 83803 power cord and the sonic difference was incredibly noticeable. The cord is used on a Musiland SRC10 upsampler/anti-jitter component which I've neglected using a nice power cord on thinking tweaks like this wouldn't be noticeable on a component like this. I was wrong. Notable increase in resolution, soundstage expanded in all directions, more relaxed tonality, better dynamics and bass. The improvement isn't subtle, it's substantial. I have heard Rhodium may be a bit livelier but a tad less natural sounding compared to the gold and the copper version sounding more like the gold. For my solid state system and very revealing components the gold seemed like the best choice and it was. Definitely recommended!

Excellent sounding but....use patience and care assembling.
Decided to give them a try (Gold&Silver plated versions) after been using Wattgates/Marinco and Furutech. Quality is decent but no where near the Furutech as can be expected considering the cost. All these other plugs are much easier to terminate. Like the video shows buy an electric/battery powered screw driver to remove the screws. Many. many turns. The video also shows the power cord wires are soldered at the ends to prevent stray strands from not getting completely clamped down. (Try to the clamp down on bare strands and not the soldered portion of the wire if you are very precise.) This is very important. One my two plugs neither had the correct color of the neutral and ground screw. Hot is Gold, Silver is neutral and ground is green. (Mine had a greenish color on the neutral and black on the ground!?) If your not careful...the back of the plug did however have the correct markings where the wires should go but the screw colors were not correct IMO.) As another reviewer stated, plugs are very tight going into the male chassis IEC. If you're not careful, you will not insert them fully. (Never had this issue with any other IEC connector I've ever used be it any pre-made cord or one that I made myself.) OVERALL, a decent plug which most importantly, sounds very good. I think they are better than the entry level Wattgates overall sound quality wise. Wonder how the higher end Viborg's are? But now they are in other price category competing w/other high end manufacturers. Hope this helps w/your decision...Go ahead and them a try, but have patience and be careful w/assembly.

Easy to use, Sound great.
Used to repair a custom high end cable that I had made for me 15 years ago. Easy connectors, no soldering.

Well-built and work well
I used these Viborg plugs to replace an old Purist Audio Colossus power cord. The result was the cord is more secured to the wall and audio gear, and I think it sounded better too.

Could be a lot better
Used this for my subwoofer. The materials are great, the terminal crimps are brass and steels, not copper, perhaps the pronges are.The build is with a good lookingThe crimp and hook mechanism is pretty simplistic and minimal, it renders a straight in insert rather than hooks, but it would be a lot better if there was a man easier way to have the wires hooked in and screwed on.Overall, cheap, good build, and I could make my power cables larger awg

Extremely good connector!
Very transparent but needs a lot of burn-in to get to it's full potential. But even half-way through, it's impressive.
