Excellent Scan tool with actuation features. Interface can be improved.
Excellent Scan tool with actuation features. Interface can be improved. They are really going the subscription model of a $ amount per feature per year. The Diagnostic features is totally worth it. The maintenance functions, not so much as you cant actually tell which ones will even work in your car. For me coming from a Foxwell 530, it's totally worth it.

Capable and Accurate Reader that just missed the target
When I got this reader I also had a very similar reader that was almost identical except for the fact that it was black and red instead of gray and black like the top Don is. And although it doesn't come with as many features and the ability to have bidirectional tests, it pretty much does everything else that it's slightly more expensive cousin can do, so. It's perfect for the home mechanic who needs to make sure everything's in it top shape for their smog and other things....Quite easy to use, connect to your phone and the proprietary app quite readily, and we'll scan the crucial elements of your vehicle. After a thorough scan and maybe some live data graphing that you have hazardly chose for seemingly related items, you can feel confident that your car isn't going to blow up; as long as it's not throwing a ton of codes at you and do you have to go through each one and over. Educate yourself to the point of confusion so you can fix and maybe over fix the problems that he scanner revealed . Either way you walk away. Feeling like you did something good for your car, whether that's true or not, time will tell... Unless you know what you're doing

Straight garbage
This scanner is pathetic. Yes it will do more than your basic elm327, but it'll take 5x as long to do any of it if it even works. It doesn't work 75% of the time and wants you to constantly do a firmware fix, plus it takes a bunch of storage space. Return to sender and on to the next one. It's not worth it, plain frustrating.

Very easy to use, lots of info.
Great OBD2 Bluetooth scanner, download app from the (Apple, Google store) connect to car and pair. Fullsystem scan takes about 4 minutes and gives you more info that your expecting. picture 3 shows 24 differentscreens of BCM's and sensors that you can look at the data for, to help you see what's going on with your vehicle.Great addition to your mechanic's tool box.

Instructions are incorrect and doesn't work anyway
First, you have to download software called "SmartDiag Mini" instead of just "SmartDiag" as indicated in the instructions.Second, getting it to connect is fine but the software is very confusing. It doesn't detect your VIN and you can't copy/paste the VIN into the app. After manually typing it in, it does detect the correct vehicle (2001 Jeep TJ for me) then downloads an update and Chrysler software. However, every time you want to run a diagnostic you have to select 16-pin, vehicle year/make/model, meaning the VIN and Vehicle information is not saved.Third, the software diagnostic fails to pick up on simple things like a PCM (says "Not Equipped" which makes no sense). Same for DTM and even Airbags. Finally, the device does NOT work with any other software. I tried about 10 before I just gave up and will be returning the device.
