Interesting But Not What I Was Looking For
This book has a lot of experiments you can try to see how different green concepts work and some theory behind them. It really seemed more like a primer on getting your head around some ideas rather than building useful everyday green solutions. For example, there are numerous examples on how to generate electricity but little in the way of how to store that energy or feed it back into the power grid, etc.

Not so impressed
Eh, what can I say. ALL of these projects can be searched on YOUTUBE; this is more a novelty-gift item. Publisher really didnt put alot of $ into the printing, i.e....photos and illustrations appear to have been shot with a Polaroid in some eastern-block country around 1965... ( I jest of course ) Neat book perhaps for someone's grandpa who doesn't have access to Youtube. The title got me to buy it.

A teaching moment
The projects in this book would be better suited for a middle school science class than around the house in my opinion. I am researching a way to donate this book to a local school library.

Not really an E.G. book
Can't recommend this book. It is certainly not like the other books in the E.G. line. The projects aren't written up very well and most of them just refer you to this website or that. There is even a project on turning out the lights... sigh.

Pathetic
These books have strayed so far from what they used to be they are a joke. Buy a kid's science project book instead.
