I love this album! I wish I could get it on CD for a reasonable price. I may just have to part with the $50!!!In the meanwhile, I've been streaming it OFTEN. It would be lovely if they'd release more music; they're so talented, and are a gift to all us "Crafters."

Magickal, mesmerizing, and beautiful. I love it! The Descent of Brigid is my favorite of all of the songs. But the whole album is brilliant.

The music is well made and the songs are almost hypnotic. Definitely worth the buy if you love pagan-themed music and gaelic singing. 5 stars!

Wow... I can't beleive these guys are available at Amazon. I've been looking for all kinds of indie stuff from Boston way back when and a lot of it is difficult to find. The Moors....well lets see. Scott was my guitar instructor. I remember how excited he was when he first joined the band.At the time they where a 4 peice i believe with Sharynne on wood and voice...there was a celloist(i think) and a violist ...and along comes Scott with a fretless weird a##ed tuned down guitar. The sound was amazing! I still have all the old demos and beleive me...over a period of a few years their sound was changed on every demo. They very quickly became a two peice( with Sharrynne on electric guitar and Scott doing the fretless...a drum machine...and various sonic noises.) The vocals are sung in all sorts of languages...French...Latin.. English ..and Celtic...absolutely beautiful. This band has been described as gothic , sonic etc.... If you love different music.. check them out. I don't think they are together anymore. I haven't seen Scott around in years. But please buy this and support them as they are two incredibly talented people who created something unique within this musical experiment.

Never grow tired of this album...why? I love Dead CAn DAnce, Trance music, Pink Martini. But this music just gets me to the primal self. Yes, my friends, remember the ancient times of your ancestors, the bonfires, exaultaions to the sky..the seeking and desire for oneness with all? It is hard-wired in us. Become ONE and listen to this.AND, it is great to workout too; pulsing and driving (especially opening number). Now, if I could just see a ballet/dance group perform the movement to the music, wow, my soul be in Nirvana..

Absolutely beautiful masterfully done first ( and sadly only) album. The Descent and Blessing of Bridgit, in Gaelic and English, is worth the price alone.An amazing recording!

The Moors - I talked with someone who heard them live and met them. From what I can tell this is an amazing group that utilizes non-standard instruments to create sounds the inspire and haunt the spirit. This album is a MUST have for any pagan and many others. This was hard to find for a long time and now that it's on Amazon it should be grabbed up. I only hope that the group is getting a cut of the proceeds from these sales.
