Worth it...
So it's been two weeks since I started using this for my 7 year old, 90lb husky/german shepard. I wanted to use the crate for a while, leaving him at home for extended time (especially work days) before actually leaving a review. Verdict: It has held up and held him in!!!My dog has been getting bad separation anxiety ever since the wife & I moved to a different state. The change in environment, schedule, just the change. He has chewed up the door frame, many blinds, and even ripped out the frame to the window. We've done everything we could do with what we have and we know it's going to be a long and arduous process to get him back to being a calm and content pup when we go to work.Being an older dog, he's stubborn and it's taking time, but he is slowly starting to accept it as a safe place. The first few days, he didn't. I got pictures to show... lots of protesting and trying to chew himself out. (Don't worry he's fine.)I saw in the reviews that the people giving this product a bum wrap, couldn't put it together... obviously they've never shopped at IKEA...granted it took a little effort, and some oomph, it's pretty straightforward. It's also a lot easier to put it together with two people.Customer Service from Tommy was great. Replied quick when I needed an extra lug-nut and over-nited it.

Safely confines dog with severe storm phobia
I have just had this since yesterday, but I believe it will hold my dog. He's an angel until it storms, and recently he ripped up two normal crates AND a door from the garage into the house due to his fear. He used to rip through chain link fence as well. In the process, he hurts himself. While pricey, this crate seems much more secure, and there are no sharp edges for him to hurt himself should something happen where he goes into panic mode. I believe this will stand up to him and believe me, he is strong and very hard to control when he is in panic mode - he just goes completely destructive in his effort to get away from the storm. This will keep him safe, and keep my home from being destroyed in the next storm. I definitely give this five stars. If your dog has torn up regular crates, I recommend this - in the long run it's cheaper to buy one expensive crate than 4-5 standard crates. Should it not hold up, I'll update this rating later, but I believe this is going to make my life much easier and give me peace of mind.My new "doggie jail" is very sturdy, but assembly was awkward and difficult from some angles, and I'm generally pretty handy with things like that. I did get it assembled successfully with only minimal help tightening nuts on the inside for the corners. Just follow the order of assembly in the directions, though somehow I put the bottom on the wrong way and had to redo it, so be careful with that step. It will go much faster if you have someone who can help with the entire assembly. There are a lot of bolts and nuts, but those on the inside are rounded and should not pose any risk to injuring the dog. Another hint - only hand tighten until assembly is complete, then go back and tighten everything down. It will make things a little easier to line up. I am so glad someone makes this product.Update. ...a month has passed and the inside looks like a bear has been in there, but so far it is still holding up. I did have to retghten some nuts because he shook them loose but I probably didn't get them tight enough originally. My husband suggests use of Locktite which I will try if they come loose. No escape or major injury to date. He broke a nail scratching but that is so much better than what happened previously.

Nothing short of miraculous
Let me start by saying we have a rescued lab/hound/pit mix. He is anxious and destructive with thunder storms, fireworks and even unexpected bells. We have tried so many methods to calm him. You name it, we've tried it. In nearly twelve years, we never found a crate that would keep him safe, until we reached out to some professional dog handlers. They recommended the Impact Case Dog Crate. Although initially I had difficulty assembling the crate, the end product is nothing short of miraculous. Customer service at Impact Case and Container answered my questions within minutes, on a Friday night, late. They stayed with me until I was comfortable with completing the assembly. We spent a solid week training our thunder pup to go in on command. We threw treats in and gradually increased the time he was in with the door closed. The first few days he had to stay in the crate while everyone was at work or school, he was not happy. He chewed and scratched and whined. Even with some damage to the door, Impact was open to replacing this crate for a more sturdy version. They never left me without options. We ended up calling a dog trainer who, with just a few simple tips and one afternoon, had our pup willingly entering his crate and staying. No more damage to the crate! Best of all, after just a brief adjustment period, our pup loves his crate! So sorry we didn't invest in this ten years and thousands of dollars worth of home repairs ago! If you are having any struggles with an anxious dog, I would highly suggest purchasing this crate and hiring a trainer. The peace of mind is amazing!

but after not so neatly disposing of 2 sturdy, metal (expensive) crates
THIS COULD BE THE ONE!!! I hesitate to review this after just 1 month of use, but after not so neatly disposing of 2 sturdy, metal (expensive) crates, my dog is stumped by this beauty. So far all she has managed to do is make a few scrapes on the inside of the door. More importantly, when I arrive at home, my dog is safe, my house is in one piece and the crate is still standing.

Totally worth the money
I have a German Shepard who is just over a year old. He has anxiety when we leave. He absolutely destroyed his other cage(-it was a mid-range wire crate from pro-select) and along with it my house when he got out. I tried carabineers and other methods to lock him in to no avail. He would dig and repeatedly throw himself against the cage until it was so bent it was useless.I looked for days for a cage that may hold up to him. I found this and called the manufacturer. They were very helpful. I got the one that does not collapse for additional strength. We have had it for a month and it looks the same as the day we bought it.Worth every penny!
