Harvest Song's fruits are grown near the Biblical mount Ararat. Armenia's vertical topography is approximately 10,000 feet above Sea level. The fruits are grown in ideal conditions of volcanic soil and surrounding Spring waters. At Harvest Song, we pride ourselves in creating hand-made preserves. We pack only during the harvest season. The fruits are grown in a chemical and pesticide-free environment. During the harvest season, we pick only the ripest fruits from the farms on a daily basis; our cannery uses minimal knives and the fruits are carefully hand inspected. We slow-cook with a little bit of pure cane sugar and citric acid (tiny amount of lemon juice for acidity). All formulas and each harvest is selected by Sylvia Tirakian. No preservatives, no Pectin. All jars are decorated with handmade rice paper from Kathmandu, Nepal.

Golden Delicious !!!
Our family truly enjoys eating fresh figs, which of course are a seasonal fruit. The idea of preserving figs for off season edible enjoyment is not a new one, but times being what they are, I am no longer afforded the opportunity to set up and preserve fruit at home. Having shopped around, there are many company s capable of preserving fig fruit. But, it is of my family's opinion that Harvest Song stands out as having mastered not only the preserving of the fruit, but has also mastered the preserving of that home made goodness. Golden delicious, 2 Thumbs up!! We will purchase again

So-so
Well, I must say these are ok. There were no chunks of figs like one review said. Very runny. The taste is fine, but my mom did better.

Not your Grandma's Preserves
You cannot imagine my disappointment. The other reviewers say just like Grandma's homemade. I suppose it is possible that my Grandma was a better cook than yours. These are awful preserves. And that is the nicest thing I can say about them. The packaging is spectacular, the quality, the flavor and the overall experience eating these preserves is way below par. I did consume some, just hoping my initial experience was not good. These preserves are terrible. These are the worst tasting fig preserves I have ever tasted. I was so excited reading they are just like Grandma's; I got the cherry flavored one too. Yikes.Side-by-side, you could not tell the difference in the two jars. They tasted identical. The fig did not taste anything like figs and the cherry did not taste anything like cherries. They tasted identical. They tasted awful.I am very disappointed especially since after reading the other reviewers; I was really excited to have finally found some good fig preserves.

Excellent!
I bought this as a gift for several people and they all love it. It is a very delicate preserve with just enough fig taste. Very, very good. Will get it again. And I recommend this to anyone who likes figs.

Previous two time I ordered - taste was like heaven. This last delivery - as if everything changes and it's just regular good preserve; nothing heavenly this time

NOT RECOMMENDED!!!
NO! NO! NO! NO!Runny texture (runnier than Apple butter) with sour taste and little to no pieces of fig. Maybe I don't have the gourmet ability to eat such unusual "preserves". I'm a southern woman old enough to remember my Mama Bess's fig preserves she bought that were truly preserved figs and served only on Sunday mornings and special occasions. I know not to expect the same from modern commercially produced preserves, but my store brand strawberry preserves are thicker and tastier than these.I wouldn't recommend these to anyone and would recommend that NO person buy them.

Excellent Fig Jam!
Cannot say enough how good this is. While we have some Harvest Song products around the supermarkets they have yet to carry the Golden Fig. Once it's gone we order some more!
