The media could not be loaded.  Going to start this review by saying that I often use the comments by consumers on products I research as part of my decision making, buy have never been one to provide my thoughts of a product for others to potentially use as part of their decision. I am not new to the RC hobby world. All I have until now have been land based applications even though I have a strong interest in RC planes and helicopters, but knew this was a much steeper money proposition and the simple fact that there will be a crash, so I never made the leap. Then the drones came on the scene. Felt this was an option to explore. I am not going to hold back any punches. I 1st bought a Dromida Hover Shot - AKA POS!. This was a small drone purchased with the intent to LEARN. It did have a small supposed 720p camera. If you understand my abbreviation that is enough said. That was 3 maybe 4 years ago. Drone interest went dead. Then beginning of this year I started looking again. Checked out many options and am very aware that one can get into some serious money just like the planes real quick. Found that the Contixo F35 Premium. First I will say that there seem to be several different "named" drones that by physical build look to be the same aside from some badging. 1 Stand out with the F35 Premium is it comes with a 1year warranty. Most of the others - No Dice not even close. And I want to point out I set a cap on myself at $400. 2nd Stand out with this package deal is the memory card. Most of the others are the drone, case, 2 batteries with charging cord and that's it. Not only does it come with one, it is 128mb. Now for the drone. Nice build, nothing feels cheap, even when the batter is out as this adds a considerable amount of weight to the unit. I am by no means an experienced drone operator and because my 1st drone buy was such a failure I had hardly any flight time and was quite nervous to operate. 1st, the drone comes already in beginner mode, then with it in GPS mode, this made it very comfortable for me to enjoy learning how to fly. I highly recommend it if you are a drone virgin. Durability wise, I did have a minor incident on landing and was doing so w/o the RTH function. Trimmed some tall grass but drone was fine. It was a slight bit more then it sounds but trying not to make myself sound like a complete putz. Now the part that seems to be the apex of controversy when it comes to drones in this price point. The 4k camera. I am an above normal person when it comes to home entertainment and audio/visual equipment. I currently have 4k monitors throughout my home. Can I say watching the video I have taken on this drone and it to be the same of a 4k produced movie. No. But I also do not own the equipment that can accurately test the video signal and validate the data compression of the video. And for the bone heads out there that want to complain about video not being true 4k, you jack asses don't either. I am very pleased and satisfied with the quality of the video. For the money spent - very happy, nice job Contixo. For those that read other reviews that want to complain about the video, or if you are one of those that did the complaining, I will make this real simple. You are shopping a $400 drone that has some fantastic features and a nice camera on a 2 axis gimbal - which works Great!. If you think you are going to get video like that of a multi million dollar movie or equal to a 20k 4k studio video camera, your not. Take your head out of your seat and let some oxygen in. Then go over and start looking at the drones that start at about $800 and higher. If you don't want to buck up that amount of coin, then you can be happy with what companies like Contixo have done to make a reasonably priced drone with some advanced features so the beginners and enthusiast can start to enjoy a new hobby. If not, shut up, have a coke and go fly a kite, stop discouraging others from making what they would otherwise find to be a satisfying purchase just because you have expectations that are unrealistic for the money being spent.

The media could not be loaded.  This is my second drone with GPS, and my first one with a gimbal. Having these two features makes all the difference in the world:A drone with GPS know where it is, and the software can compensate for wind, making it super easy to control under all kinds of weather. GPS drones usually have different modes, but the basic "easy" mode keeps the drone in the same place unless you actually use the joystick to move it. Compare this with a cheap drone where you spend most of your time trying to keep the drone where you want it!Having GPS also allows the product to provide cool features, such as waypoint navigation, follow me, flyaround, etc. I have not yet had the chance to try all these features, but this drone has them all.A gimbal provides advanced anti-shake capabilities, so video captured by the drone is smooth. My previous drone did not have a gimbal, and the video it produced was terrible for that reason. The gimbal also allows you to control the direction of the camera through the remote. You can have it point forward or down, with any middle position you want.Besides these two "must have" features, this drone has a decent 4K camera, but the video quality could use a bit of improvement, as it has some artifacts. I've seen video from a DJI Mavic and the quality is much better. Of course those drones cost a LOT more than this, so some differences are to be expected. Again, when compared to my previous drone, the quality is a lot better. I've uploaded a short video so you can see the quality, but I think amazon compressed those videos down quite a bit.I will try to do some pros and cons...Pros:-The drone is very well constructed and designed. As you can see in the pictures, it folds down to small size and comes in a nice box that can be used to transport it safely.-My package came with two batteries, which is a nice setup that allows for almost an hour of flight time.-The batteries as well as the remote are charged via USB with a micro USB connector. This allows you to use existing charges and cables to charge them all at the same time.-The remote and the app are well designed and easy to use. Be aware that there are some parameters that affect how the drone flies and are set to "beginner mode" so you have to change them if you want to fly more seriously. For example, maximum distance from the controller is set at 30 meters.-My package came with a 128GB micro SD card. If you did not get it, make sure you get one to be able to record video onboard, as the transmitted video will not have the same quality.-The remote is responsive and flying the drone is super easy.Cons:-Image quality could be a bit better. Hopefully Contixo can tweak the compression a bit to get rid of the artifacts.-If you forget to stop the video and you turn off the drone, the video file will be corrupted. This happened to me. Make sure you remember to stop filming before turning off the drone!Overall, I'm very happy with this drone!

I love this drone! I’m pretty much a noob to the UAS scene, only having flown a toy drone years ago my kids received as a present. It is very intuitive to learn quickly. Picture and video are good quality as well. I have only flown it three times, so I have yet to utilize all of the automated functionality. The only downside I have experienced is a lag in response to the remote control when I’ve taken it 500ft away. This was a bit concerning on my first flight, and had me thinking I might lose it. That’s what the RTH function is really great for! Looking forward to learning more and enjoying this drone for years to come.Update: I had to exchange the one I purchased due to it “going rogue” and taking off from a standby position and crashing into a tree. I thought and hoped it was a one time thing, only for the replacement to do the exact same thing. It moved on its own and crashed into my house. Needless to say I returned the 2nd one and DID NOT want a replacement. My recommendation is to look elsewhere.

The media could not be loaded.  AMMENDED TO NOTE THE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE… the offer of extra batteries for the drone following a verified Amazon review (good, bad or indifferent) was never fulfilled and the vendors had complete radio silence diminishes an otherwise good product. 18 months and still nothing.First non “toy type” drone for me that had a number of the must haves for my purchase, namely gps, follow me and return to home functions, all of which work well. The return to home function will land it within a meter of the remote/phone so leave ample room.The camera quality is indeed 4K HD however at low/fading light the footage will grain up a bit so it’s best to do your filming in the bright sun of the day and the colours really pop from the camera. My videos are late afternoon and at dusk in fading light and I suspect the quality is reduced by Amazon for the reviews… the drone records in 4K to the SD card on board and streams 720p to the FPV phone/tablet for navigation purposes… just ensure you have rhe SD card to maximise the camera quality.The gimble is 2 axis with zoom and a 90 degree rotation (from straight ahead to pointing direct to the ground) and both work well, a point to note though is that neither function is a smooth, gradual motion but rather a “segmented” type function.The battery life is excellent, easily getting 25-30 mins of clear flight time with the camera rolling and the navigation lights (white front/blue back) are bright and easily seen at dusk with flashing red to indicate that there are issues.Not an overly noisy drone and heavy enough to fly in strong/gusty breezes but this will sap the battery quicker I’d suspect.Charge time if the battery is indeed 4.5-5 hours and only the USB cord is supplied so may pay to have the wall plug USB adapter ready to go but this is a minor point.Overall this is extremely good value for money that suits beginners and pros alike. Even if you subscribe to the Dji/Mavic only mentality, this drone is a more than suitable backup/trainer for those with similar specs and capabilities.About the only thing it could really benefit from is obstacle avoidance as you’ll see from my video…🤣
