So far so good. Bought this as a cheaper replacement to our other heating system that burnt out. The temperature gauge is must easier to use. This is a good system - easy to install.

I ordered this unit on Amazon in June and had it installed by a licensed electrician because I hoped to avoid any warranty problems. The installation with 60-amp 220 breaker and 6 gauge wire cost significantly more than the unit itself. The unit worked great for about 3 months, and then one day it just stopped producing hot water. The circuit checked out and the lights still came on when the faucet was running, but the output cycled between lukewarm and cold. Rheem customer care told me that I needed to take the cover off the unit and call back with an electrical tester ready. I have the multimeter and skills to do this, but it seems a bit ridiculous or even dangerous to ask customers to open and troubleshoot a live 220v appliance over the phone. After testing for resistance and voltage Rheem agreed that the unit is faulty and is covered under warranty, but told me I need to go through the Amazon seller to get a refund or replacement. The third-party seller didn't respond when I asked for a warranty claim, but ultimately Amazon customer service refunded the purchase and told me to just order another one.

This unit and size was a good compromise for us. Even though we had to upgrade our electrical panel to cater for an additional 60A breaker, it saved us a lot more expensive code upgrades and saved space as well.It delivers HOT water to our kitchen & Laundry in seconds.Install it high up to keep the hot pipes from burning you.I haven't looked at the efficiency yet but, in our situation, it should save us a bit.

Great product. Installed easily. Added a water filter which should extend the life of the elements. Would highly recommend for anyone with a small space that needs hot water.
