Madina Bar Soaps (Egyptian Musk)

Someone gifted this soap to me initially and I immediately fell in love and ordered my own. I love how the soap lingers on your skin, unlike some soaps where the smell is amazing until you wash it off. I have locs and I sometimes wash my hair with this and the scent sticks for over a week (and I live in Texas and sweat a lot). One of my favorite scents. 🙂

It's a nice enough bar of soap. It lathers well and rinses off cleanly. But I bought the Egyptian Musk because I love the smell of Egyptian Musk. This soap has no scent at all, that I can tell. I have an unusually keen sense of smell. I'm usually the first to notice a gas leak or that a skunk has been hit down the road or whatever. I sniffed this soap as soon as I opened it and could smell absolutely nothing. Then I took it into the shower, lathered it up in my hands and sniffed it. Still nothing. Then I washed my whole body and smelled nothing.When I use Brut or Axe or any of those, though I'm not crazy about the scents, I at least can tell that it's there. Sometimes it even leaves my whole bathroom smelling like whatever scent I've used. This one, though . . . . nothing!

If you are looking for a bar of soap with the musk fragrance, this ain't it! On opening the package, it had the faintist hint of musk but after first shower...gone. They must have sprayed some musk cologne on the outside and it was all gone after the first use.

I dont want this to be one of those reviews where it says, "good. try it.". So, I will really tel you how it was.This is a really nice soap. Main ingredient is sandalwood (of course), with some patchouli and just a bit of bay rum.Unfortunately, this has recently gone up in price. I have bought this a few times, and have noticed it has recently gone up in price (first time was in September 2018, and the price was $3.99!). Regardless, this is a great soap all around. Even though it has a higher price, I still recommend trying it.

I dislike that the soap did not have a strong enough smell, you could barely smell the Egyptian Musk if was very mild. I prefer a strong smell of the soap. The smell of the soap should have been stronger. Can you refer a stronger version of this scent of soap.
