Size up
I normally wear a medium (I'm 5'4", 140 lbs and usually wear a size 6/8 or 28/29 in pants), and I ordered large in these period panties. I'm glad I did! The large fits very comfortably. If I had ordered medium, I think they would have been too small around my legs. They have good coverage, and stay put. I don't have particularly heavy flow, so can't comment on that, but they're great for spotting or to wear with a diva cup or something for added protection. For the price, I'm extremely happy with this purchase! Much more affordable than other brands, and so far the quality appears to be good.

BUY THESE NOW. And size up if in question, they run a bit small IMO.
Despite ordering literally thousands upon thousands of times over the past 5-ish years, I don’t think I have ever, NOT ONCE, left a review. But I depend so highly on reviews for my own purchases, and I just can’t NOT review these. If you’re at all on the fence…GET THESE NOW. They are a GAME CHANGER. After 8 months of having an iud but deciding to remove it due to intolerable side effects, I had to plan ahead for having a period again. I’m not partial to tampons because they worsen cramping for me, but I also don’t love pads…they’re uncomfortable and bulky no matter how thin they are, and because they’re all WHITE they just remind me of diapers. I’ve tried cups but they don’t work for me bc of where my cervix is…the stem on every one I’ve tried is uncomfortable and I got tired of paying $30-40 for each one to try them and then have them not work.I’d looked at period underwear many times over the last couple years but always shied away at the price…especially because some brands of them are not returnable if they don’t fit, even un-used. And since we all know that fitting online is iffy at best, that’s a deal breaker for me. And also, $30-40 EACH? (I’m talking to you, Knix and Thinx). Uggghh. No thanks. But in my searches a couple weeks ago pre-IUD removal, I cam across these. Ordered some so I’d have them, a 3-pack of mediums of both the brief style and the bikini style. I didn’t love the really low waist of the bikini style so I returned those, and figured I’d try out the others.Which brings us to Friday of two weeks ago…removed the IUD. Started bleeding Saturday night, so I tentatively and trepidaciously tried out my new underwear. By Sunday afternoon I liked them so much I’d ordered another 3-pack, although this time I ordered size large because the leg opening is a bit more snug than I like.Fast forward nearly two weeks (and still lightly bleeding). I’ve used these Bambody briefs the ENTIRE time and LOVE them. Heavy bleeding or light bleeding, they’ve been great. The only “leaks” I’ve had have happened when I go running and sweat so much (I’m in Las Vegas, it’s often +90• when we run) that the underwear get sweat-logged, so then the sweat wicks into my shorts/leggings and is blood-tinged. The solution I’ve found is that if I just use a pantyliner while running, any blood collects onto that and then the sweat that wicks to my clothing is…just sweat. Because with the waterproof layer of these underwear, you DO sweat a bit more.I won’t go back. These will be my #1 period product from here on out, unless I’m in a bathing suit. I did order menstrual discs (the Nixit and the Lumma) to try as a tampon replacement since I’ve read that they’re much better for those of us with a low cervix, but so far I haven’t had a need for them. During my heavier flow I changed the Bambody’s about every 12 hours and when I’d rinse them afterward, there was so much blood wringing out of them! I made my poor partner come in and watch, I was so fascinated! He was like “damn girl do you need an iron transfusion?” I’ve simply rinsed them really really well after taking them off, then hanging them over the edge of the washer to dry until it’s time to do laundry. Then, wash as usual and hang to dry. No problems with washing them. With the lighter bleeding I’m having now I just change them once a day like regular underwear. For reference…because I appreciate this SO much from others…I’m 5’2”-ish and around 122 pounds, and carry much of my weight in my butt/thighs and boobs. I usually wear a size 2 or 4, and size small or sometimes medium in most clothing. While the medium does fit, I MUCH prefer the very-slightly-larger leg opening of the size large…thicker thighs here. I don’t notice much difference, if any, between the waist of the medium and large. If you’re between sizes at all, I’d definitely size up.

Very absorbent.
I recently had a period where I didn’t have any tampons. All I had were these underwear. I wore a pair for about half the day, another pair for the other half. If you want to free bleed, these work! I didn’t have any leakage on my clothes. They hold a lot of blood, I’d say about 2-3 super plus tampons. Not super stretchy. Mid-rise fit, wish they were more high rise. I’d definitely buy again though.
