Fort Knox of dry bags
I purchased this dry bag to use on camping trips this summer. I have had other smaller dry bags in the past, and have loved them. When I saw this 35L bag, I knew it would be perfect for my larger items, like my sleeping bag and tent. No only that, but there's still plenty of rooms for clothes, electrics and other water sensitive items. The bag itself is made from a very thick rubbery material (close to the same as those carnival bounce houses) so you know it will hold up to some pretty rough abuse. The seems are extremely well done, and I sense no weakness whatsoever from the seems. Something I was pleasantly surprised to find was the stiff runner along the opening of the bag, to help keep the folds watertight when closed. The second surprise was the extra plastic flaps inside of the opening, to further prevent water leakage. The features of this dry bag are what really set it apart from the others on the market. The first thing you'll probably notice, is the rugged rubber handle on the front of the bag. This is great for lugging around, and support when packing the bag. The next are the included backpack strap, which are actually comfortable for not having any padding. This allows you to carry or hang the bag in three different ways. You can use the handle, the straps, or when the bag is closed you can grab it by the buckled loop on top.Lastly and I think the most important feature of this bag is the air valve. This allows you to compress the air out of your pack after it has been filled and closed. In the past I would always find myself trapping bulky air bubbles in my dry bags, but with this valve you can get rid of that trapped air, and I mean all of it! Not only this, but it also allows you to use the bag as a flotation device in an emergency. If closed like normal, you can blow up the bag through the valve. I have tested this and it held air for almost 24 hours before slowly deflating.Overall I could not be happier with this dry bag. I can't wait to get it out on a few camping trips and really put it to the test! I received this product at a discount, in exchange for my honest and unbiased review, and I would whole heatedly recommend this to anyone who enjoys the outdoors.... and dry clothes.
