Thumbmill Stainless Steel Pump & Grind Salt & Pepper Mill - Set of 2

They worked great...for a while. Now when I go to refill them (epecially the salt one...corrosion issues?) I can't get the inner workings to thread back properly when the middle bar comes out. And that happens just about every time.The other problem that has grown more frequent with both the salt and pepper (but especially the salt one) is that the user can no longer use just his/her thumb to activate the grinder. I actually have to pound on the salt one with the palm of my hand -- that means I usually end up with much more salt than I want but it is the only way to get ANY salt out now a-days.I'm about to give up and send these off to the thrift store. I guess I should've bought the Williams and Sonoma ones from the start, but these were about half the price and both are made in China from plastic and metal.The other thing to know about this style of salt & pepper shaker/grinder is that it holds VERY little and you will be refilling them often! Don't think I'll get this kind again. They're nifty at first but not so cool when you find yourself constantly refilling them (and in the case of these, that also means struggling to get the threading aligned correctly on the salt one).

The one holding salt rusted out in less than 2 months as pictured in the photo and is now useless. The one holding pepper works fine. The grinder occasionally sticks in both, but shaking them gets it working again. Would not purchase again because of the salt issue.

I love, love, love these mills. They are easy to use. I've already ordered more of them, because I think it would be a great for a wedding gift.Update: I just ordered three more of these for people that I showed mine to. They are great.

These didn't grind as well as I would have hoped. Can take many presses of the thumb to get the right amount of pepper. Definitely not suited for cooking in the kitchen, but they might work ok if used at the table.

these are well built, grind finely, and are easy on the eyes, little hard to press, you may have to strengthen your thumbs, but you can grind with one hand which is nice!! catching them on a deal didnt hurt, overall i approve!

Great design and we'll designed except for the salt and pepper capacity. My only complaint is that it needs to be refilled more often.

perfect distribution. Proportion is great for easy or use with just a thumb. Well constructed but the plastic parts disintegrated after 5years of use

I love these salt and pepper thumb mills. Very easy to load pepper corns and sea salt.
