Poor design
Replacing batteries in the wind detector when installed on a typical 20 foot high mast is pretty dumb design. If you are silly enough to buy this product, modify it to bring the batteries to ground level, or better yet inside, as I did.Too bad because otherwise at $50.00 quite a well built and designed item.

This item only works on batteries
Non compatible electric unit supplied.Australian unit needs to be supplied when purchased.An Australian compatible unit was purchased and connected correctly but the weather station fails partially after 24hrs.(Wind section).Removed batteries,disconnected power unit,measured power unit 4.5DC.0.25A as required by your unit.correctsize plug unit is used,as per your unit.Our power system is 250 volts,50hz.Not very impressed with the unit at all.Only able to use with batteries.
