I was skeptical at first. This is one of the more inexpensive auto-feeders available on amazon. However, it's been running well for over 6 months and I have very few complaints. It worked for vacation feeding, none of my fish or turtles died, and that's really all I can ask from an auto-feeder! I use a combination of flake, crumbles, and even some turtle pellets, and the 'large' setting handles it all fine.Pros:multiple options for amount of food deliveredmultiple feeding timesmanual feed option (useful to test amount of food delivered)able to handle small round pellet food AND/OR flakes. (though not ideal, can occasionally jam the feeder. Most likely because they appear to be out of order. While I like this in concept, it doesn't support the large ball cichlid food. Even the small stuff barely fits. I gave it 3 stars because it functions, but it does jump a little

Purchase two Automatic Fish Feeder Electronic Programmable Portion Control Fish Food Dispenser w/ LCD display one works fine the other is non-functional costing me double the amount I paid to ship it. This is what you call wasting money.

I bought it well before our holiday to be able to test it and after working well through 3 weeks it stopped working less than 2 weeks before our holiday - very disappointing. When it is time of feeding it starts turning but doesn't open its door so the pellet stays in the feeder. I tried the manual feeding but the feeder wasn't responding for the buttons. It is impossible to turn the lock off. I took the batteries off and put them back: still no reaction for pressing the buttons although the lock-sign disappeared. Tried different sets of new batteries with the same result.It seems dead and useless. Contacted the seller for advice today, hopefully they have an idea how to reset the feeder but I have doubts. I think I need to find an other solution to feed my fishes during the holiday if I don't want them to starve to death.
