Super clear, and quality. It doesn’t have the topography maps, but it’s not a huge deal. Buy this and spend your money on other stuff. Review: Great device, wished I bought it sooner - First let me state mine came with the cover, in a nice new box. Everything looked fresh from manufacturing. Second this device is awesome, I will be using it to gps map out my kayaking route, took a minute to figure it all out but I’m enjoying the navigation features and waypoints ( it’s like filling your map in video game) I’ve been recording my trips and have a large chunk of a lake done. The 2D down scan picks up the fish quite well (you can change it so it shows images of fish on hits it thinks is fish in settings). The clear vu is pretty fun, gives a clearer picture of what’s below you as you pass over it, I was able to find a metal drum on the bottom and caught a few channel cats hanging out around it. I was a bit set back at the extra stuff I didn’t realize I even needed before I bought it. Needed a mounting arm for the transducer, mount for the device itself, a 12.5 volt battery, charger, and connectors for the wires to the battery, (I spliced alligator clips to my wires). I keep the battery in my dry well so i didn’t need a battery case. If you spend a lot of time on the water it’s worth the few hundred dollars for the package. Performes excellent as long as you have your settings correct (back light 100% all the time) also might want to adjust the contrast of the clear vu to higher settings. Which one is it?** A: The description is correct. Garmin Quickdraw Counters are NOT maps. Strikers units are NOT mapping units. As stated they do support Garmin Quickdraw Counters, which is essentially software that draws counters based off of where you have been. **Q: What is unit warranty** A: 2 years there's alot of not covered stuff in paperwork also tho **Q: Can your hook up transducer to TWO them, or do we need a transducer for other one ?** A: The transducer cable only has a single connector. You would need a transducer per unit. It would not be advisable to use two of the same units on a boat as they would interfere with each other since they both operate on the same signal frequency. I always use two different brands on my boat to prevent that problem.
