They're really warm, tick and they do seem to run a bit small. I bought size US8 and it fit my winter boots that are size 6. My boots are a bit wide and a bit loose on my feet (I wear size 5.5), so these insoles were perfect to make my boots fit perfectly without the need of wearing tick socks.

Mine did not look like these pictured. Not fluffy. But they are alright.
