I ran across these recently while trying to find an attachment for my functional trainer. I was looking for a smooth strap with D rings on both sides, not longer than 5 feet but hopefully between 34 and 44 inches long and not much taller than 2 inches. When I saw these, they seemed perfect!I attach them to my cable machine at a little below shoulder height, then put the strap around my torso and do seated lower back extensions and ab work like the lower back/ab machine at the gym. These straps also work great for working out your sides in the same position - seated, leaning away from the machine to pull on the weight. Lower then to mid-thigh height and they also work for some leg work. Much smoother than what I was using before, and stronger, too. I can't speak for how they work to hang swings, but they're great if you need a double attachment point strap for workouts!

My original review about this product was that it worked as expected however my review is now changing due to the fact that the strap itself has completely ripped in half and injured my wife today.I need a representative from this company to contact me ASAP. My wife weighs 117lbs and the swing maybe 5lbs. And even though each strap has a weight capacity of 800 pounds, I used both of them to support the swing and still one of the straps ripped completely in half! These traps are unsafe and give out very quickly because I purchased this item on March 31st and installed it probably a day or two afterwards and it failed today on May 9th.

We've been using these straps for less than a month. They are on a tree holding a children's swing and used by my kids aged 4 and 8, neither weigh over 55lbs.I wasn't expecting them to start to wear like this already.We bought a second set soon after the first (pictured), but we haven't opened them and will be returning them.

I would rate it as unsafe for use as a swing over a tree limb. We installed these on an oak limb and tied rope to the D-rings. The limb was up high so we were unable to periodically check condition. After 6 months of use the brown strap frayed and broke. Fortunately it broke on it's on without my grandson in the swing. What happened was, that instead of the rope swinging in the D-ring that I thought would happen, the strap was rotating on the smooth limb and the friction frayed and the strap broke. Do not use this for over-the-limb swing.
