You really can't go wrong with any of the AMPkids line of comics for younger readers
'Oh, Brother! Brat Attack' by Bob Weber with illustrations by Jay Stephens is a playful book full of cartoons that show the fun side of sibling rivalry.Sister Lily and younger brother Bud are the stars of this series of comics. She looks after him, and he looks for ways to annoy her. He is a typical little brother: willing to eat your cupcake, but not willing to do the chores. Bud gives as good as he gets though. Lily may seem to get the worst of things, but she gets Bud back. Lest I make you think this is just a big fight between two siblings, there are also moments of genuine affection between them. Bud and Lily really care about each other. The humor is great and so is the art. I enjoyed this and it brought back memories of times with my brother and sister. It's a perfect collection of laughs for younger readers. I really enjoyed it and if you're looking for kid-friendly comics for kids, you can't go wrong with any of the AMPkids line of books.I received a review copy of this graphic novel from Andrews McMeel Publishing and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this graphic novel.

Harkens Back to a Simpler Time
OH, BROTHER! BRAT ATTACK! is a comic collection of the “Oh, Brother!” comic strips that ran from June 2010 – August 2011. The strip features sister Lily and her younger brother Bud. The hijinks the siblings find themselves in are reminiscent of comics from the 1940s – early 1960s. The style of the strips are very simplistic and also evoke a retro-feel of strips from 1960s. Lily is the more sensible of the siblings and Bud is the wilder of the two. Despite their differences, Lily and Bud love each other very much and their affection towards each other can be easily seen. I enjoyed reading OH, BROTHER! BRAT ATTACK! and hope more of the “Oh, Brother!” comics will be collected in book form.

Fun sibling battles
Oh, Brother! is a wonderful read for all ages. There is the expected conflict between siblings and the many situations most of us will recognize from our own lives. One thing that shines through here more than in some other sibling rivalry comics is the inherent love the kids feel for each other. The actions that might not be the sweetest (hey, that is what siblings do!) is not done with the meanness seen in some strips.I would recommend this for all ages and especially for pairs (or more) of siblings living through similar moments.Reviewed from an ARC made available by the publisher via NetGalley.

A Cute Comic
Oh, Brother! Brat Attack! is a humor comic about two siblings Lily and Bud. Lily is the big sister as Bud is the little brother. The comic is a strip comic containing jokes and sibling rivalry without a real plot - so basically a great comic for kids. Lily doesn't feel like a sister, but more like a mom. She acts like an adult and very mom-like. Bud on the other hand is more realistic as the bratty kid. The illustrations are cute with nice vibrant colours. I think kids would enjoy this book especially if they have a sibling. I identified with Lily having to "mother" my little brother who was seven years younger than me.I received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest reveiw.

Smarter than most comic strips
I’ve been finding a lot of comic strips I’m unfamiliar with lately, but if they’re anything like their book collections, I will be following them daily. As the title says, the main character is indeed a brat, and though his shenanigans are often funny, you can’t help but feel for his long-suffering sister. Which is not to say she’s helpless, as she gets her own digs and practical jokes in—I find myself enjoying when she gets the best of him the most—but of course not nearly as much as her little brother. I found this funnier than most, which is saying a lot. My favorite has to be at the amusement park, where the brat thinks, “The longer the line, the better the ride!” only to be told this was the line for the ladies’ room. As might be expected from a comic strip rather than a graphic novel, the artwork is not meant to impress with its beauty; it does its job, which is to compliment the humor, especially the reaction shots in the last panel. Despite everyday words and situations, it comes across as smarter than most, which may explain why I like it so much.
