This set is all starter punches. There is a recessed hole in the tip of the punch which will help hold a role pin in place when trying start it.

How deep could you fully drive pins (what is the useable depth)

About half the length of the role pin. They work very well.

Made in china. They do their job. It would be nice to have the sizes etched on the punches.

These are one of my most used tools, when working on firearms. These punches really help prevent damaging the firearm, when getting the roll pin started. They make dealing with tight fitting roll much easier. Hint: Apply a drop of oil to the roll pin, prior to insertion. This will help prevent damage and ease the process. The oil will also help prevent future rusting of the pin.

They work fine. I had no idea they were hollow in the center. They work great for the roll pins I removed. Do wish they were solid and not hollow.
